Completely brilliant mono-drama by a great composer and a brilliant singer.
Thanks so much for this monument work from Berio. The only thing near like and of high quality I can recall is Stockhausen's slightly earlier Gesang der Jünglinge, from 1956. Thanks for making this available. I've already happily surprised a number of musicians by referring them to it.
The key to understand this piece is the italian word parole, the only one that has a meaning. No meaning words produce communication between the female voice’s emotions and us. This piece is a living miracle as much as human communication a mistake itself.
i honestly think shes being attacked by a snake and is trying to escape until the snake makes her evil and shes slowly becoming more and more insane by the influence of the snake.... thats what i think....
Just a few of all the contemporary music could be as hallucinating as this Berio's piece... Thanks so much for uploading! Saludos desde Bogotá, Colombia

The music is fantastic. But let me ask you something: who is the author of the painting that illustrates the video? Thank you for both.

I'd like to think I'm pretty open minded to music, I love a lot of Berio's music but this is so offensive to me.
