@unclepic1: The 599 should win in a straight line. But it could be close considering the 458 has that seemless shifting gear box, when you shift, the car has no pause what so ever in acceleration. But the 599 still has a better power to weight ratio, somy money would be on it. And if we are talking about the new 599 GTO, then the 458 has no chance. lol Best motor Ferrari has ever built for a production car. :)

I've ran a 599 with a super Leggera (noting that the difference between a one LP560 and LP570 is great), and the Ferrari led the race by a certain distance (about 2 cars) from the lambo - you can check out the cars: "Ferrari 599 brasilia" and "LP570 brasilia".

I think it was a bad driver. Around the track, the 560 would win, in a straight w/ a good driver, the 640 easily wins.

nono... It should be on a sticker on the left cylinderhead cover (timing side) looking towards the gearbox.

It reads CEH and six numbers, and there is a barcode above it. The number is also on the block, but on the front side under the intake manifold, you won't be able to check there, unless you have an endoscope :) But the engine number should be in your registration papers too.

Alright I found the engine number on the sticker in the engine bay. Mine starts with CEH ends in 61. I guess you're right after all. I also found out that my Stock No. is C161, and my color is called Bianco Monocerus. It does list the country of origin as "Italy" but I guess that is for the car as a whole.

I ordered the R8 in late Feb/early March of 2009 so I was fed up with waiting nearly 10 months. I ended up picking the 3rd option and taking home a 2010 LP560-4 with a similar interior/exterior combination as the R8 I ordered after paying the considerable price difference. I made a video of it in my channel. I am absolutely in love with the way it performs and looks. Great car, I am very satisfied with my choice. I need a few extra miles for the break in period to be over and done with though.
