  • The bass is so heavy in this!

  • 0:59 look's a bit like Greg Gilbert from Delays!

  • An amazing song, loved it on first listen. The chorus is beautiful mixing chilled out bass with Pink Floyd in a stoned out way.

  • Now, more than ever, WE NEED MORE KULA SHAKER!!!!

  • If a survey is carried out for most talented people on earth Britain will beat any country by far...

I'm not even jealous .. what a bunch of talented and creative people and what a country.

    Regards from India!

  • Who were those 5 Gandu(Assholes in hindi) dislikers?

  • Crispian joined in on the looting at 4:03 lol

  • makin' it go bang . . . hot!

  • nazi gay fuck off!

  • Should I leave a comment?

  • Ya'll rock it harder KS, you know the 60s well and everything that has come since, don't ever stop dawg

  • They sound a bit like an old sixties band.....Crossby Stills, Nash and Young

  • Top tunes and a top band....Can't wait to see them live..

  • its a brilliant album. i love it.

  • Amazing band, amazing song, great video. BUT...it pains me to see him smash that beautiful Les Paul like that.

  • @GozerTheGoze

    It wasn't smashed in vain~~~

  • The irony about KS being underrated and out of the mainstream now, is that this album was the one that Crispian was convinced was going to make them the greatest band of all time. He thought they'd be playing at the Pyramids on the last day of 1999, instead he ended up quitting the band. But I still loved them back in the day.

  • Couldn't believ I hadn't commented on this until I read the date. I was still in preschool, ha ha ha !

  • 4:00 Crispian stealing the golf set! XD

  • Living outside the UK when it was released, I really enjoyed Peasants Pigs and Astronauts.

  • Excellent music !

  • Awesome tune

  • una obra maestra y una de las mejores canciones de los últimos quince años.

  • it reminded me the days of Mansun

  • @hemancheung

Lol i moved house a few weeks back and found my "Attack of the grey latern" album. It's still proper good listened to it a fair few times when at work in me van. Aaahh bring back the 90's :P

  • @ratty860997

Yea exactly the same feeling with you. Kula Shaker is coming to hong kong by the way.

  • awesoooome !!!

  • I think Kula Shaker is proof that excessive musical talent does not automatically bring commercial success. Even so, I'm surprised they slipped under the radar. They're rather amazing.

  • @Umagula 'Coz most people like listening to shit that makes them dance instead. The market has changed, no substance, just superficial likings.

  • Fucking brilliant!!!!!

  • Very Stone Roses.

  • One of the best song/video ever..

  • spiritualism what i call spirit, nice morning alarm, bung kula.

  • Such a Masterpiece.

    I've laughed, I've cried.

I heard this song years ago and my musical taste have forever been elevated.

But I did just find out he's Haley Mills son.

  • what he said on 0:05 ? :P

  • @Silverqo says "Armageddon alert sarg!"

  • video reminds me of retro dr who somehow

  • People dont know appreciate their music, I dont know why, this is one of the best bands in the world for me. This big hit should have more views.Mystical machine gun is really mystical! Love Kula Shaker 4ever

  • i think what he means in the mystical machine gun is the coming of Lord Kalki in the last days of the world that will annihilate all the materialists hehe just a conclusion correct me if I'm wrong .

  • Love it!

    Great video.

    Top marks.

  • .....the WHOver take his SUCKER and go homme...hahahahahahahahahaha

  • I luv Kula shaker

  • Oh my... This is fantastic! Their music is really mystic

  • They are not only good musicians, but Crispian Mills is also a thinking man with a good life philosophy, a good example for young folks.

  • They remember me Pink Floyd... like it :)

  • One of my favorite video

  • Underrated and underappreciated, except to the select with discerning taste.

  • I must say I love this song & video. Still remember when I first saw it. Oh memories.

  • Reading through the comments makes me glad Kula Shaker are on the underrated side. It seems like the kiss of death to musical creativity when you get propelled into the mainstream neigh slipstream.

  • quite true. look what happened to smashing pumpkins and weezer. they lost the plot somewhere...

  • @foolsgoldsoma

    OMG...YOU WENT THERE *sheds tears*

  • The Pumpkins imploded because people realised that despite their good music, Corgin was a self absorbed egotist, whom had kind of found fame quite by accident. It's like a bad manager at work, who heads up a dept of 3 people, and the dept succeeds depsite the manager, but the manager gets all the accolades. It's a pity, I like the pumpins music too :(.

On a lighter note. Shaker = win. awesome talent.

  • Kula shaker is great! Its ok that they are not part of mainstream pop shit because those bands who started good and became mainstream now they suck

  • Good band, but the gratuitous posing... guess making the "right moves" is obligatory

  • I fuckin love this song especially the way it grooves out towards the end... man...!

  • This song is so addictive! Very nice!

  • kula shaker...absolutely underrated

  • Kula Shaker Rocks!

  • One of my favourite. I'm from Russia and I have this CD. It's strange to me that Kula Shaker are underrarated in the UK.

  • classic. epic.

  • Good choon.

  • This got proper slagged off when it came out. I bloody loved it and STILL love it!

Great live as well. Kula Shaker still the best live band around

  • right on!

  • @Camelsarse I always seem to love the bands that people either really love or really hate. And the more people don't like them the more i do :)

  • A great moment of roch n` roll!

    Great song!

  • Der sieht ja ein bißchen aus wie Rüdiger Kauf vom DSC! :-)

  • stimmt ein bisschen, aber der Chrispian Mills hier sieht doch besser aus.

  • definetly influenced by pink floyd, one of the reasons i love kulah shaker :D

  • Their second album was there best!

  • aguante govinda!!

  • i dont like the vid. i liked the song better b4 i saw this :P (was actually looking forward to seeing what mystical machine gun looked like)

  • This was my favorite song when i was a kid

  • good musictaste for a kid!

  • Then your still a kid. My fav song was Althea and Donna Uptown top ranking

  • I'm Indian, and I got into Kula Shaker when I was around 8 any my brother brought home "Peasants, Pigs and Astronauts". I was pretty intrigued by them because they sang a lot about Indian culture and mysticism (Govinda, Tattva, Sleeping Jiva) + their music was influenced by Pink Floyd, Deep Purple etc (which I had also recently discovered at that tender age)

Btw, asxtc, Uptown Top Ranking is an awesome song!

  • you don't understand a fuck about music. sorry dude

  • what did he say?

  • this one is great

  • I feel like this song is loosely based on Magical Mystery tour by the Beatles. Am I the only one?

  • Yes you are.

  • don't be daft.

  • i can see it in the brass section and production.

  • @aarzack Every song can be traced back to The Beatles in one form or another.

The Beatles have been writing the (good) songs out there ever since - it's all influenced.

  • @Snibo ... Seriously every song? Either I'm reading this out of context because I cant be bothered reading the OP or something really strange has happened.

  • @ManamoPrime ......Yep, EVERY Song (the good ones anyway).

That's how influencial The Beatles were / are.

Kollected is a really good CD.....Love listening to it.

    Enjoy

  • @Snibo Oh you meant on this album? I read that comment completely out of context. Sorry.

  • great song, great video, great band

  • The Peasants Pigs And Astronauts album is a masterpiece.

  • yes my favourite of them all..the others are great too but you gotta love the psychedelic music in PPA...freaking amazing

  • a great lift up tune by a great band!! saludos marianito

  • brilliant they new how to catch that pyschodelic 60s sound in a 90s way

  • Sounds so Pink Floyd, its awesome!

  • its defenitely psychedelic but wouldnt say pink floyd..i actually havent heard any bands that quite sound like Kula Shaker..you know its them. their music is abit more aggressive. but definately got roots in pink floyd and others.

  • A mixture of 'time' and 'breathe' from dark side of the moon?

  • Very original sound of the band!!!

    thumbs up!!!!

  • wasnt the intro of the song was with that indian instrument? (dont know the name)

  • the Best song!!! the Best band!!! :D

  • Great song!! Great band!!

  • Crispian is sexy! ^o^

I love this song, too! So stylish...

  • Are you proud to see how far you've come, you're a wizard in a blizzard, a mystical machine gun...

My fave Kula Shaker song by far!

  • ''Stay calm... don't panic *Gibson crashed in two against the floor*'' Well, I panic xD

Great song, great vid (4:04, Go Crispian... Go with the Golfing set!), underrated band. Miss them, as many other bands.

  • good song! Sounds so much like The Wall and "This is hardcore" from Pulp

  • a great song from kula shaker , very pink floyd in part's. lovely melody. 8/10

  • i love this song, there ive said it

  • Here's where they tried to become Babylon Zoo...

  • Crispian Mills seems like he doesn´t know how to act in the beginning *g*

  • Terrific stuff, but this is actually the single version (and the best version) - the album version is different, and there is also a third version of this track on their 'Kollected' best of compilation.
