@alithomson unless a plague is a funny, sweet movie with the never failing to please actress sandra bullock and a great morale and issue that is always overlooked then no, dont avoid it. this movie was amazing, i rarely laugh in movies but i found it hilarious and there was nothing cliche about the romance in the movie, in fact there was nothing cliche about the movie at all. WATCH THE MOVIE EVERYONE! ITS GREAT.

Plus, there isn't enough of a story anyways to even make a sequel - and if for some reason they did, it wouldn't make any sense. All the story lines, and characters lives all wrap up.
