  • Now that's a fucking encore!

  • THe world should have ended after this concert....

  • @uncleal42 or the world should have ended after everyone who loves Ministry have been to one and the same concert!

  • This is a BADASS Song! And high quality vid. Awesome.

  • Ministry RULES.

One of the best live experience of my life

  • @iesus68 HELL YEAH! New Years eve '89 at the Riv in Chicago.....chick I went with was bein a bitch so I hooked up with 2 chicks at the show and......well, I can just leave you to imagine the rest. Show was awesome with fire-eaters and everything!

  • I love it when Al dances with a cig in his mouth its funny as hell! :)

  • @uncleal42 it's almost cute

  • I love how Ministry looks like an awesome group of nerds backing up there creepy heroine addict friend in a band (no disrespect intended) Fucking awesome song !!!

  • that opening to the song is forever badass.

  • Well, since it seems to be the hip cool thing to compare NIN and Ministry, I wonder if Paul Barker and Bill Rieflin are in the same therapy group as Charlie Clouser and Chris Vrenna. I bet they'd have loads to talk about.

  • The drumming is so clean and relentless, like a machine. Never heard drumming like it when Land of Rape and Honey came out in '88... yet it's exactly the same live.

  • Ministry live vs birth of 2nd child

  • Youtube really needs a button that expresses more than "like" about a video. Ministry is an unreal band live.

  • I wish these guys would cover "memorial song". Its actually by an anonymous author. If you head back to my channel you can hear it. Some people say Ministry recorded it but who really knows.

  • POWERFUL!!!

    \m/

  • the most hardcore show Ive ever been to

  • Ministry is back with a new album? Who ever makes the choice to book Ministry for a show could be very bad. I'm 39yrs old....I know I won't quit til that mother fucker is torn down. And I know , every person who just can't get their songs loud enough will be tearing shit up. Going completely Ape. Shit.

  • Where the fences!! ???

  • WACKEN 2012!

  • one of Ministry's all time great songs

  • Timothy Leary. Some people think he was fried but how many 70+ yr olds are as alive and active in the present as he was? Most old people are mentally looking backwards and winding down by the time they're 70.

  • Only one Uncle Al...

  • Man this takes me back.. Great live version of this song on "Live In Case You Didn't Feel Like Showing Up" which I still have on tape! lol. Yes boys and girls that is cassette tape.. Al and Ministry definitely were not "radio friendly" or radio favorites but they burned a pretty good path through the world with their unique anti-establisment sound and we moshed to it, climbed the cage to it.. fell off the cage to it.. lol good times!!

  • holy sh!t tim leary! lol

  • My old theme song. :)

  • from the movie hardware

  • @lovekills1972 love that film to bits.

  • I thought Timothy Leary passed on in the late eighties?... if I'm mistaken, someone please correct. I didn't do enough LSD, wish I could get some blotter ~

  • @YaWantTaters Timothy Leary consciously passed on with a smile on his face, at 12:44 A.M., May 31, 1996 (approx. a month after this show).

  • Oh the days of high school , i finished in 89 doin acid and x when it was legal in

Texas screw all the new junk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yea to the cunnigandfought your correct that was in houston !

  • Oh the days of high school , i finished in 89 doin acid and x when it was legal in

Texas screw all the new junk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wish I could have seen them live :(

  • memories flashbacks

  • amazing Timothy Leary!! amazing Ministry

  • ferociously beautiful.

  • Ministry got fuckin good live videos :o

  • Alwayz luved this tune...

  • Comment removed

  • I think the old guy you see is Al's father... Because you see him backstage later on during this DVD and AL's talking to him and hugs him.. they sort look alike to somewhat.

  • @Lavidicus6

    Negative that's Timothy Leary

  • @ponmlk ???? I dont get it...

  • @Lavidicus6

The old guy is not Al's father, it's Timothy Leary.

  • fuck yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

    STIGMATA STIGMATA STIGMATA

  • holy shit!!timothy leary at a ministry show???!!!!

  • @fistfuck100 Of course. I got to spend time with Tim Leary at Lollapalooza 1993 with bands like TOOL, Rage Against the Machine, Primus and Alice in Chains. He was always a cool cat.

  • @magneteye that`s awesome!!!i`m jealous!!thanks for postin!!

  • thank you for posting..........

  • i always laugh when i see him wearing that tough guy getup and how he calls others fake-remember when he used to sing with a fake british accent and wear ruffles and lace of course not-thats why he never sings or mentions his earlier work.he is thw biggest phony there is i respect britney spears more than him ,at least her downward spiral was real.he drinks and shoots heroin to fit an image.next time you see him yell "with sympathy" he will cringe and run

  • @qwq45

Oh, well. People change. Maybe you could also change and learn how to write.

And... your band is probably better than his, and you have probably more fans? Right?

  • @Dead696Ghost

since when is that a logical conclusion? i have to be a grammy winner to criticize another grammy winner? you're logic is flawed sir. good day.

  • @Dead696Ghost

I hardly think the amount of fans is particularly relevant though. If it was then Take That would be good music, which it`s not.

  • @qwq45 He was finding himself. Then he single-handedly created what people call industrial music today. So, who cares? We are all young, dumb and impressionable at one point in our lives.

  • @magneteye he didnt create industrial music, young, dumb impressionable dont nforget,no soul-he sold that for a contract.actually i liked his depeche mode style stuff better, then he goes and dismisses his work and FANS who supported him early.thats what i dont like about him and his live shows are horrible one loud drone

  • @qwq45 Well it's a good thing the aren't together anymore

  • @qwq45 really? sounds like some is pissed that ministry changed their sound from synth pop to industrial styled music. its called free will jackass, he choose to do something else that was more to his liking hes not going to make himself miserable just to please fans who come and go over the years. just except that just because you dont like something, doesnt mean that person sold out

  • @hellchild65 me liking something or not is not the issue here, and you know it as well, thats why you conveniently forgot to mention a key point i brought up,its always the young ones that think they know what their talking about, after reading a few notes on the internet,i suggest you keep reading, alot

  • @qwq45 what was the point you were making because i just read "he sold his soul for a contract" "i liked his early stuff the most" "he forgot his fans that liked his synth-op material" and "he's too loud now" you made no room for a hidden point in there, you simply said he sold out by changing to industrial style music

  • @hellchild65 if youre going to quote me,do so in its oeiginal context.dont conveniently use bits and pieces to steer the post in another direction.that just shows you have no mind of your own and no valid rebuttal as well.before you make a unsolicited post, know what youre talking about.because all youve done is embarrass youreself

  • @qwq45 so says the person who is not giving a clear answer and making himself look like an ass

  • @hellchild65 nice try junior, but that was i posted you.retyping my words back to me.does not constitute a reply.it just shows that youve run out of bs .i win,bye bye

  • @qwq45 you win the immaturity contest of not being able to make your point after i confronted you, so yeah, cya

  • @hellchild65 go look for attention from your daddy, because you wont get it here,in your esteemedwords "CYA" how quaint

  • @qwq45 you're clearly not a metalhead;I don't judge you for that;I do for not letting some peaple enjoy what ever they want to;he may have not created the industrial sound but this band was pretty much the one who created the industrial metal genre;who blended the guitars with the keyboards and samples an as I may have told you they made popular before turned out to be a breakdown lateron

  • Shedordie sent me here. Interveiw with Trent Reznor

  • When I bought this DVD a few years years ago I was having major isseus with alcohol. Watching this DVD early in the morning while drinking beer and watching All drink all the time always gave me this "you're not alone" feeling. Made me feel better.

  • hell yeah

  • Dude is that Timothy Leary at 0:33. Thats great if it was he probably died shortly after in 96. LONG LIVE THE ACID KING.

  • this is a great song . i saw them back in 83 when they warmed up for the police . i loved growing with them . i saw them 7 times iam now 45 and still love them.

  • HA this was filmed the year I was born !!!!

  • Stigmata best song ever by any band!!!!!!!!

  • Nice footage. But this should be in 16:9 format. Please fix. Thanks.

  • How do I upload concert footage I have on video and dvd? Tell me how please.

  • is this weaponized....

  • pure chaotic bliss i wish i could see these guys again and again and again

  • Ministry kicks ass everyone should see them live if their ears can handle it.

  • @Indigo656 If they still existed, I would in a heartbeat.

  • @RampinUp46 Dude they still tour, I saw them a couple years ago with Thrill Kill Kult, it was off the chain.

  • @Indigo656 No. They don't (as of 2010). They stopped touring completely in 2008 on the C-U-La-Tour.

  • @Indigo656 Ministry is done touring. Al Jourgenson is going to do other music that isn't Ministry anymore. I saw them at the House Of Blues in Las Vegas and he said that was his last tour with Ministry.

  • Shit ! Tim Leary at a Ministry concert !? Now that's badass ! Just made me appreciate Leary more =) Fucking awesome band !

  • by the way, does any one has the video , in case you didnt feel like showing.... of ministry??? that video is really great , the band plays with 2 drummers one electronic drum and an acustic, the sound is awsome.... will be great to have it here, the version of stigmata there is really better than this one.

  • teeth out

  • this song always helps me get angry enough to poooo

  • Bad ass band, bad ass fuckin song! Who gives a fuck what their politics are? All I know is this band is fuckin heavy. Go watch meet the press or c span if you want politics...

  • Anyone possibly count the number of hats Al Jourgensen is seen wearing in this video? Curious to see what the count may be. Post here if you count 'em. Thanks.

  • @trollcrusher242

    IN ORDER:

    Bandanna

    Tophat

    Chicago Police Dept. Officer's Cap

    Cowboy Hat

    Tophat (with towel)

What a BRUTAL video version of this classic Ministry track ... gotta love it.

  • what!? "Twitch" was the shit..... 'til it was stolen along with all of my other cds.

  • Awesome.

  • Fucking awesome bad ass. To bad these mother fuckers are Democrats.

  • @Truthpolice9698: Sorry, if you're a Ministry fan and you're a Republican, you're an idiot.

  • @skrason

I am a Libertarian. Love NWO. Hate Democrats more than Republicans.

  • @Truthpolice9698 So you are a total fucking mess... Nice.

  • @Truthpolice9698 thankyou SOOO much for saying that. lol

  • Just the fucking best! Love the dvd Hardware too!!!!

  • fucking love these guy i wished i would of went to there farwell tour but hopefully they come back they are fucking SICK

  • During the late 80's I was into Iron Maiden, Slayer, Venom, Motorhead. Then I "discovered" bands like The Misfits, D.R.I. , S.O.D., , Minisrty, etc. The 1st time I listened to "The Land of Rape & Honey" I was instantly hooked. The guitar riffs & drums beating are so INTENSE! This is one band that I will go to my grave, wishing that I would have saw them in their prime. One of my biggest regret!!! At least I have " In Case You Didn't Feel Like Showing Up" on dvd. The best concert ever (imo)!!!

  • @cafulcher1968 I know I'm about a month late, but how are the misfits better than Motorhead? I don't care about iron maiden, slayer or venom, but the misfits don't have enough guts to be compared to Motorhead, Danzig's cool, but Only and the rest of the misfits are pathetic. I don't know whether with S.O.D. you mean spear of destiny or that other band so I can't really mention that. By the way, are you ginger?

  • @cafulcher1968 I was lucky enough to see Helmet, Sepultura, and Ministry back in 1992. It was amazing. Ministry played for over 2 hours straight and it was the loudest concert I have ever been abused by.

  • @magneteye I bet you sucked cock back then.

  • BAD ASSS!!!!!!!!!!!

  • See Timothy Leary in the beginning scene !

HARDCORE MINISTRY FAN SINCE 1990 ^^

  • CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow!

  • And to think of what their first album (shudders) sounded like before they gained control over their creative rights. Who remembers "With Sympathy"? What a god awful thing that was (thanks to Erista)

Anyhow loved this band and love this song...EPIC shit!!!!!

  • evryday is halloween is good though

  • @Switcharoo12 You know what's worse is that there are actually fans of early Ministry AKA "With Sympathy" style Ministry...who think Ministry's sound after that album sucks! WTF?

  • most user friendly live shows out there!

  • Best LIVE Ministry EVER!!!

  • Now those were the times!

  • Wow! This version kicks mega ass!!!

  • this shit sounds good at the clubs

  • Nice. Timothy Leary in a Blackhawks jersey.

  • hilarious aggie!

    funny shit!

  • thats right

  • Al Jourgensen can be honey anytime.

  • ministryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • Kick ASS!!

  • So much better live :)

  • i need this dvd!!!! where do i get it???? if anyone can help, please do!!!!!

  • Alain Jourgensen is a friggin lesbian ;)

Think about it ;) (e.g. watch him in interviews) You'd swear that was a tomboy talking.

  • Comment removed

  • Noun 1. stigmata - marks resembling the wounds on the crucified body of Christ

  • Noun 2. Stigmata - a song by the band Ministry....that kicks as much ass today, as it did back in 1988!

  • Wow! i really enjoyed that :)

  • i have the same question from years ago... i think it maybe just one camera that covers all the shows, that was mixed and there you go, lot of camera agles and outfit changes from one second to other...

  • I got to see ministry last year at their last Austin show. it was fucking amazing. Burton C. Bell from fear factory sang just one fix while Al played guitar and jumped around. It was tight as hell. I was a little sad that they didn't play the fall or psalm 69, but whatever, it was still the best show ever.

  • fuckin amazing sound for being live !

  • great tune. ministry have a lot of good stuff. my favorite version of this track is on in case you didnt feel like showing up.

    that's a pissed off version.

  • someone upload scarecrow from this tour

  • I think he's doing all kinds of bad things back then though, Fitlh Pig wasnt a great album unless you like doing tons of heroin! (I'm guessing)

  • Filth Pig was put out in 1996 after The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste, not saying they did not do a lot of heroine then but I thought the sound was fresher.

I think Ministry sounded the best when their was a bush in office!!!

    They needed inspiration!

  • damnit, I wish I had got into Ministry a couple of years ago so I could have caught them live. Anybody know some good modern industrial bands that can put on a show even close to this good?

  • There's barely any Industrial bands these days... well famous ones anyway.

  • or any worth a shit!!!!

  • im jw wood u thaerith conside nin a industrial band? i mean ther early work befor the 21st century cuz da 21st century i dont think they wer

  • perfect song to listen to stuck in traffic or on your way to work.

  • lol i second that

  • so this is the beginnings of goth/industrial infused yes? ie ministry

  • Ministry is done dude no more albums no more tours Al said he's throwing in the towel with ministry but if you dig these guys check out Al's other band The Revolting Cocks very similair sounding to ministry not so much their new stuff

  • no they don't

  • do they still go on tour?

  • Fucking awesome!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow..brilliant performance..

    I will sorely miss Ministry

  • Nobody kicks ass as progressively and intelligently as Al and paul. Listening to this is a lot cheaper than therapy. You

    guys are the s**t !

  • Is that Timothy Leary at the beginning of the video in the hockey jersey?

  • Haha. That does look like him.

  • Ministry and NIN made some great stuff, and alot of shit.

    Glad that's settled.

  • Fuck yeah, best verison of stigmata

  • 0:47 - man, he looks badass

  • ...proof of God...

  • The greatest concert footage of all time...

  • AWESOME !

  • crazy tune....makes me wanna jizz

    all over myself
