The police are trained to drive fast, and allowed to by law. It's not breaking the law if you're trained and entitled to do it. However, normal motorists are bound by law to obey speed limits.

Simple if you want to blast open roads then Move to the Isle of man. No national speed limit. As long as it is safe and you are in control you can overtake the cops at 100 mph + without breaking the law . Problem solved

@emtildeath And on our roads the maximum speed is 70mph on the motorway, but they is people who are stupid and go a lot faster. I come from Sheffield, from the City Center we have a very long road called the Parkway what linked up to the M1 and thats a 50mph road same again see people speeding doing about 80mph or more. I do agree with speed governing cos some young drivers have rich parents who buy them fast cars.

The police are trained to drive fast, and allowed to by law. It's not breaking the law if you're trained and entitled to do it. However, normal motorists are bound by law to obey speed limits.
