I'm pretty certain they're doubling the euphonium parts so that the two euph players aren't completely buried.

This is superb. I have known this symphony and have listened to it for a long time. This video sounds almost exactly like the recording. It is amazing how well this group performed this. Also, the video directing was really good. AMAZING!!!
