@KenjiLoc001 I have the same problem. I tried everything and it still doesn't work. I guess it just doesn't work for certain routers. Oh well. It's more effort than it's worth. I suggest plugging in directly. I can't do it because I don't have a cord long enough for that but maybe you do. I don't know if that will fix the problem but I'm sure it will. Let me know if it works.

@Feaster7734 when i type in the router number it doesnt work for me, so i went to cmd; typed ipconfig; typed in my default gateway; and it takes me to this motorola page and asks me for a username and password, ik the password for my router and it says incorrect ;( admin doesnt work either, also can i try out for mgo clan?

@Feaster7734 i figured out my username and pw. i didnt realize i had to change it. but it works. i did something and i was able to host my own game in mgo. what i also did was change my port settings in the game option. i just put a really high number and it worked.

and theres a static NAT and it mentioned IP but only a PC ive never heard of, my sisters laptop, and brothers iPhone come up as options for the static NAT

if you have an actiontec router, the one verizon gives you, to change the DMZ go to firewall, then on a little bar on the left it will say DMZ hosting, thats where you can change it

Thanx.... it worked 4 me....I have a Netgear Wireless G router.... for anyone who has one , the dmz thing hes talking about can be found under the WAN setup list when your logged into your router and follow his instruction and you should be fine....

for you comment at the end its very easy to set up boot camp to run windows on your mac so you can downloda stuff like camtasia to do it but I found it doesnt help alot you would have to buy the dazzle premium. ( Btw is this how to force yourself host in games or give you a chance to get host?) Also It would be awesome if you could find a host booter without a botnet. Garentee youd get like 1 billion donloads on that if it was legit.

I'm not computer/internet savvy, so I know this is such a dumb question, but I just want to be certain I don't muck things up.

I have a PC and PS3 connected by ethernet cables to my Netgear Router. If I give my PS3 a static IP Address it will use this address everytime I play online. Is that right? Though it is static my PC will continue to find a random IP Addresse, right?

What about my PC internet security like the Firewall. Will they be affected in any way?
