i agree in some ways, BUT i think banig IS still good in ANYWAY, and i think she was the very first filipino who was into international scene...d naman cguro xa tumaob, iba lang talaga ang nuon at ngaun, get wat i mean? and charice she is fantastic...they r both superb in thier GOD givin talents...but ur ryt, only god knows wer cha is goin in the future...and i am hopin the she wud stil stand in the international scene 4 more, more & more yrs...may god bless them both!

Arsenio answered my question as it pertains to why she didn't make it big. She signed with Motown. Motown was known for holding Non-Black singers down and keeping them from rising to the top. Wish she had followed Whitney and Mariah and gone with Clive Davis. She would have a few Grammys under her belt by now as well. I would love to hear her again. I think the world has been missing out on a great talent. Shame on MOTOWN. If they put out an album for her it will be on Amazon. Lets' see!

banig is a gifted person. she started singing and joined amateur singing competition in the philippines when she was only 4 years old. i used to watch her on tv in the philippines singing in the number 1 amateur singing contest. unfortunately, the judges gave her the second best in the finals; however, she became the favorite of all and popular among the finalists. imagine, she's only 5 years old at that time.
