@12:18 actually if you stand in the middle of the stage, when one of the body parts is coming straight at you, just run a little to the side (just enough to avoid being hit) and when another comes straight at you, just move a little to the other side and just go back and forth and you stand a far less chance of being hit

The reason I think there are 6 emeralds in the Gamegear games is because the Gamegear was a handheld version of the Sega Master System, and the original MS Sonics had 6 Chaos Emeralds not 7.

Preliminary ideas for Mega Sonic X 06: Combine the glitches of Sonic 06, put enemies in the middle of difficult jumps, somehow have spotlights and random falling fireballs in specific parts of particular levels. Also, Metal Sonic hid himself, while he tried to repair himself. Afterward, you can play as Metal Sonic.

It is pretty strange that there are only 6 Chaos Emeralds. Maybe adding the 7th Chaos Emerald would mean that they would need to add in Super Sonic, and although that isn't a bad thing the Game Gear and Master System might not have been able to handle the further overdrive of speed.
