Get rid of the passenger pegs. You already have a seat cowl on. Why would you want to carry a passenger anyway? If you did, you'd kill the mass centralization principle of the bike.
I hope you've gotten rid of those crappy Dun-slop Qualifiers. That alone would be an upgrade.
@oldcbr Dunlop has one of the best tires out & I have them. I'm rocking the Q2's & they are everything the critics say they are. My boys crossed over to them too. The Qualifier is a good tire. One of the better tires you get off the show room floor. I never & I mean ever heard anyone say something negative about them. The Q2's are far better then the first generation ones. Quality & price wise there isn't too many a better tire. The Pirelli Corsa is great but tread life stinks.
@evan3452 why don't you just take a motorcycle safety course? It builds up confidence in riding and will give you a discount when you insure your bike :) plus its very cheap :D

are you dumb the gsxr 600 08 only pushes 4 more hp than the honda. the gsxr has 109 and the funny thing is the honda is still faster, looks better, and more unique.
Specs last timr I posted was a little off but the 08 Gsrx 600 pushes 125 hp and mine with the mods is more like 135 to the Honda's 106... HAHA I'd rather have that extra grunt... When they do the tests they pick the bikes through all aspects: looks, handling, power, torque, afford ability, etc... Since they are both 600's they will handle about the same so why not get the one with more power...
@mherring13 Those are at the crank numbers. At the wheel power is really where it counts. The average for 600's at the wheel is in 105-110 hp range. But like you said they all are relatively close. Some just have better characteristics in certain areas.

@banditdellah1 Depending on what year you get. The new Gsxr is getting really solid reviews. The bike is basically totally revamped. They have made so many changes to it. However Honda has put a good bike just about every year & you just can't compete with that Honda quality. It's unmatched really. If you are not getting the 2011 Gsxr 600 don't even look at it. It's been pretty much Honda & Kawasaki the past couple years winning the shootouts & test.

@04sfreeman Awww man it's an easy find. I got it on Ebay from a Texas motorcycle shop. I paid $130 or so. The shops around my way wanted $199.00. I'm no dummy. The piece is a nice one but not nearly worth $200. Shop around online.

@bingofmunti Oops my bad. The BMW didn't have a sportbike at this point available on the market. But I wouldn't dare diss them. That 1000s RR is bad! There ain't a 1000 touching it. Ducati are good bikes but nobody really rides them around here. In 2008 they did a shootout againt the Ducati 848 & this bike beat in overall final scores.

@S3arg3nt2 Honestly I have topped out. I take my chances but I respect the street to a degree. I easily get to 140-150 mph. That's not in top gear either. I feel the bike has more easily. I do want to top out one day & see what I have. My friend has a 06 with a few add ons. He got to 171 on po po chase. He's a better rider than me though.

@hobo4524 No bike is really a toy. Speed is speed. There is no 900rr speed or 600rr speed. What we do on these streets isn't really meant for the street. The more than average rider doesn't even go to the track. So why would you want more. I only want a 1000rr b/c I'm of shifting so quick & I want to ride my wife more. Other than that if need be no 900 doing me real dirty. Have a few friends with 900's I actually raced one in the straight. Wasn't even 2 bikes he had me.
Ya gotta love when people attempt to dis you, but have no clue what they're talking about....lol. They haven't made a 900 for about 10 years now bud, and it was a tank compared to the latest 600, not to mentiloned carbed...yuck. A bike that can run the 1/4 mile in the mid 10's, 0-60 in less than 3 seconds and can go almost 170 mph is a toy? Only in your mind..

What about the CBR F4i? How big a difference are they? Because I know it's the same motor, maybe even same tuning, the seat just sits better and it has ram air ducts on each side, but I think I wanna go with the F4i
@Jmpaul26 That is a great bike. One of the BEST used bikes to buy. There's a guy I know who has a smokin one. He did a custom paint job & some add on stuff. It looks really sweet. If I can catch him. I'll take a pic.
@himfan1 I change the levers. I brought some powder coated black ones. I'm not sure if I like shorty levers. I'm so use to the stock ones I think I would spoil my ride & timing with shorties.
@JohnnyIG87 Pep Boys about 8 dollars for 4 to 5 different sizes. It's real easy to do. If you have bike stands or a good friend to hold the bike up & roll forward when needed. You can do them in 20 minutes or so.
Sweet looking bike! I'm looking for my first bike aswell and wanted to say that from 2009 and onward the Kawasaki is now the best performance bike on the track and on the streets based on what the pro's are saying. But I would say Honda has better quality because its a Honda so I'm still undecided on the cbr or zx6r.
@rahorin The overall consensus was the ZX6r you're right. I have one or two mags that gave the Cbr the nod though. The new ZX6r just has crazy power I'm hearing. Though most riders did say the Cbr was more rider friendly & comfortable. Based on the length of history with quality. I'm going with the Honda. Brands push other brands & that's how the bar is raised Let's see how long Kawi can keep at it.
@Wormanatti regardless of if kawi is on top or not, MOST people on the street arent gonna notice much of a difference imo. Not to mention when you buy a Honda, you are buying world class fit and finish and reliability. Even your daughter knows, if you aren't on a Honda, you are just half steppin with one shoe....
@310stanger I totally agree. You can on my comments. I tell guys who are undecided that no other brand can match Honda's quality & reliability. Their history is unmatched. All the nice old bikes around my way are usually Honda. I have friends with older F4i's to 929 to 954's in mint condition. The older other brand bikes usually look battered & beaten.

I'm going with the 2008. More power & lighter. The ABS I hear works great but I have steel braided brake lines. I stop more than good. Steel braided line are WAY better than stock lines. Save some money & use the difference ftermarket stuff. Get an exhaust, PC3 & that hideous license plate bracket.

Honestly it varies on maturity & one's confidence. I have friends who started out on 1000's. I wouldn't tell a guy to go balls out on one. No matter what you ride the bike will only go as fast as you tell it.

I checked it out. The Hyperflo is American made with the finest materials.I will look into it. Though I love the fact that only make exhaust for CBR. Therefore that dedicates them to making the best exhaust as possible & not spreading ideas as well as quality so thin. Nate was saying New Hampshire track is not so good. I'll take him at his word b/c he's a pro. I went to the Javits on Sat. I was there for hours. Not as good as last year to me. Send me info on HyperFlo review.

@hobo4524 No bike is really a toy. Speed is speed. There is no 900rr speed or 600rr speed. What we do on these streets isn't really meant for the street. The more than average rider doesn't even go to the track. So why would you want more. I only want a 1000rr b/c I'm of shifting so quick & I want to ride my wife more. Other than that if need be no 900 doing me real dirty. Have a few friends with 900's I actually raced one in the straight. Wasn't even 2 bikes he had me.

Ya gotta love when people attempt to dis you, but have no clue what they're talking about....lol. They haven't made a 900 for about 10 years now bud, and it was a tank compared to the latest 600, not to mentiloned carbed...yuck. A bike that can run the 1/4 mile in the mid 10's, 0-60 in less than 3 seconds and can go almost 170 mph is a toy? Only in your mind..
Gorgeous bike by the way, about to trade my 05 on an 08...and your daughter should be in movies, what a cutie...

What about the CBR F4i? How big a difference are they? Because I know it's the same motor, maybe even same tuning, the seat just sits better and it has ram air ducts on each side, but I think I wanna go with the F4i

@Jmpaul26 That is a great bike. One of the BEST used bikes to buy. There's a guy I know who has a smokin one. He did a custom paint job & some add on stuff. It looks really sweet. If I can catch him. I'll take a pic.

@JohnnyIG87 Pep Boys about 8 dollars for 4 to 5 different sizes. It's real easy to do. If you have bike stands or a good friend to hold the bike up & roll forward when needed. You can do them in 20 minutes or so.

Sweet looking bike! I'm looking for my first bike aswell and wanted to say that from 2009 and onward the Kawasaki is now the best performance bike on the track and on the streets based on what the pro's are saying. But I would say Honda has better quality because its a Honda so I'm still undecided on the cbr or zx6r.

@rahorin The overall consensus was the ZX6r you're right. I have one or two mags that gave the Cbr the nod though. The new ZX6r just has crazy power I'm hearing. Though most riders did say the Cbr was more rider friendly & comfortable. Based on the length of history with quality. I'm going with the Honda. Brands push other brands & that's how the bar is raised Let's see how long Kawi can keep at it.

@Wormanatti regardless of if kawi is on top or not, MOST people on the street arent gonna notice much of a difference imo. Not to mention when you buy a Honda, you are buying world class fit and finish and reliability. Even your daughter knows, if you aren't on a Honda, you are just half steppin with one shoe....

@310stanger I totally agree. You can on my comments. I tell guys who are undecided that no other brand can match Honda's quality & reliability. Their history is unmatched. All the nice old bikes around my way are usually Honda. I have friends with older F4i's to 929 to 954's in mint condition. The older other brand bikes usually look battered & beaten.

I'm going with the 2008. More power & lighter. The ABS I hear works great but I have steel braided brake lines. I stop more than good. Steel braided line are WAY better than stock lines. Save some money & use the difference ftermarket stuff. Get an exhaust, PC3 & that hideous license plate bracket.

No it's a Puig screen. Zero Gravity is a great screen also. There's a bit taller than the Puig. You can also check out Hot Bodies for screens too.

I definitely feel you. You honestly couldn't ask for a better bike. It's the total package! Performance, Looks, Handling, Easy to ride & most of all you're getting that Honda quailty. That NO other brand can match.

Honestly it varies on maturity & one's confidence. I have friends who started out on 1000's. I wouldn't tell a guy to go balls out on one. No matter what you ride the bike will only go as fast as you tell it.

yo dont get the hyperflo man... look up the reviews.. its cheaply made, keep ur jardine.. i have the same bike make as you.. few different mods.. dont listen to "nate" track is great, great fun, teaches u alot and u just get to ring the bikes neck... fun as hell.. im gunna start goin spring too, im in northern NJ.. did u go to javits bike show?

I checked it out. The Hyperflo is American made with the finest materials.I will look into it. Though I love the fact that only make exhaust for CBR. Therefore that dedicates them to making the best exhaust as possible & not spreading ideas as well as quality so thin. Nate was saying New Hampshire track is not so good. I'll take him at his word b/c he's a pro. I went to the Javits on Sat. I was there for hours. Not as good as last year to me. Send me info on HyperFlo review.

What horsepower does your bike dyno at? I'm getting a power commander and stripping the air intake flaps. Supposedly that'll add 30hp to my 1000.
