  • Muscle milk has a shot yon of fat that's why it tastes good. That 1.75 miles just got cancelled out by 240 calerie, 11g of fat. Atleast in the premade cartons

  • the most ive jogged non stop is 5 miles and i stoped 4 a weak, and i started again and cant do 1 lol im traing 2 reach 155 pounds, i was 178 at the begining of the year im at 162 i think, ive never used this but i want 2 try it, my friend says it can help me cheat up on my stamina XD

    Look into Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Gold Standard, very very good stuff for you. Drink it once when you wake up to get out of that catabolic stage from sleeping, and once after workout. If you want one before you go to bed as well.

  • i cant understand why someone running 1 mile, would benefit greatly from muscle milk, rather than any other protein food. Surely ur body cant use 20grams of protein to repair after a short run, thus you will have excess, which turns to fat. If your combining this runing with muscle intensive excercises like weight training then far enough. However it just seems like a waste of money, but otherwise Good luck !

  • Antishay, Muscle Milk is a bad choice as far as protein goes. It contains way to much fat and sugar, even the Muscle Milk light. There are better choices out there to use, especially if your goal is to lose weight. Try syntrax nectar, gaspari nutrition's myofusion among others.

  • Your explanation of working out and muscle inflammation are right on. And drinking a protein shake after workouts or before bed will help with muscle repair. However the video leads me to believe you have just started the jogging routine recently. Perhaps the reduced muscle inflammation is because your body is finally getting used to the workout routine and not so much because of the protein supplement.

  • I meant to comment on olive garden... well today I got a free lunch because I went to a meeting so I went almost double my usal calories in one meal (try to stay below 400 every meal) anyway.. it was terrible! the rest of the afternoon I was way sleepy and craving sweets like no one's business! I shan't do it ever again :/

    P.P.S. I'm glad you're happy that you're exercising. But please do some reading and understand how your body works and background on the supplements you're taking before "spreading the word". You sound like a religious person.

  • ....muscle milk contains casein protein, which breaks down over several hours to release amino acids into your bloodstream. Bodybuilders TAKE IT AT NIGHT to prevent catabolysis. It does NOT "help repair your muscles almost instantly". Your muscles adapting to the exercise, hence the fact that you get less and less sore as you continue.

    Sorry to burst your bubble. You either need to get personal trainer to teach you correct theory, read some information online, or take a physiology course.

  • Muscle milk contais both WHEY and CASEIN! That being said, you can take right after your workout and yes... right before going to bed too. Maybe you're the one who needs to do more research!!!
