It's a cover of a Ramones song. Their singer, Joey Ramone (Jeff Hyman) was jew. It's not a neonazi song, just a punk song saying "little german boy in a german town being pushed around". And the title is based on a nazi slogan "today Germany belong to us, and tomorrow the whole world". I don't know is there a particuliar message in this song (i think so, just got to find it) but it's not facist song for The Ramones.
@phijalef I think it's an ironic comparison between two obsessive would be conquerors. You have the powerhungry Nazi war effort in WWII trying to capture the world and in the same spirit you have people trying to conquer eachother's love, affection, feelings and most commonly their attention. Also often when you fall in love, you feel like you can do or take on anything
@maltinooo The Ramones grew up constantly hearing their parents talk about the war. It's like the Iraq war is today. If I write a song about the Iraq war from the perspective of an Iraqi radical for the purpose of art, it's not because I support someone blowing themselves up and killing innocents, it's bc it HAPPENS & bc it's a reality we grew up having to think about all the time. We can't pretend like it's not. It's not pretty, but not alot of reality is. Don't take everything at face value.
"A mumbling idiot and the most boring music ever to go with it?" have you heard tom waits doing i dont want to grow up??? it's a great song and they did a great cover i mean.....get outta yr box man. the ramones obviously liked a song that takes this approach enough to cover it so you's think a ramones song that's covered in this style.....nevermind
the melvins are (and have been) a huge defining point in punk rock(fuck in music in general for that matter), they are one of the most creative bands i've ever heard, they've done it all, and they have a huge library to back it. Dale Crover has the most unique sound and style of almost any drummer, ever. i like this cover, alot. the melvins do great covers, and they usually change it up. the ramones did a great song yeah but why record the same song? i mean really......
@micableful so much love and agreement brotha man. Dude I try to communicate this point all the time. People don't get it. And also, people dont seem to get that not everything in music is supposed to sound good. In fact look at yourselves. You get so heated about how it doesnt sound right. Does mainstream music get you to feel that way? The concept does maybe but this music directly evokes emotions and reactions and often disgust and that's true artistic power.

This sucks fucking balls, The Melvins have to be one of the most BORING and piece of shit bands ever, trying to be original, but it just plain sucks, do us a favor, take this down its an insult to the ramones.
@drummerjs you call THIS creative? A mumbling idiot and the most boring music ever to go with it? It must suck ass to be you if you think this is good music, poor soul!! This song deserves respect as it comes from one of the best bands in the history of this universe, and this is just a fucking slap to the face.
@afoolisharrangement hahahahahahahahahahahaha i happen to really enjoy this song. and the melvins in general for that matter. its fine if you dont like the melvins... most people dont like them. then again, most people liked the backstreet boys.

Appreciate the idea of covering a song in a totally different way. But when it comes down to it, the Ramones did it right.
