Some lovely pics of an area im very fond of, just bought a flat right next to carrick castle. Shame i am living 500 miles away from it for the next 6 months :( Anyone wanting to visit this area : lochgoilapartment co uk some views in the picture section of the other end of the loch. Can recommend the Shore Inn for food and a nice Friday night drink.
What gives people living near Carrick Castle the right to fence off parts of the beach and to put up private road signs? There is no trespass law in Scotland.
Not anymore because i moved to The Netherlands so i don't live in Scotland but i come over every holiday! I think i might go up this summer though because i miss it lots! hahah! and I want to see how much they've changed the place! you?
oh wow, the netherlands! thats cool. so did u go up much before u moved? maybe we've met before, ive been going for about 8 years now. worked in the drim for a little bit when i was like 16 and also the shorehouse! how old are you? i dont go up very often, but i did go last weekend with my sisters, it was fun to be back again. my parents go pretty much every weekend. our chalet is up the back, like at the top of the massive hill!
Hahah yeppp! Yeh i used to go up alll the time with by grandparents! Like at least 2 times a month =). I've been going since i was like 1 month old or something XD haha now I'm 15.. you? Yeh i used to always go in the kitchen in the drim and always got free food and shit =).... My chalet is by the water...But one of my friends chalets was behind the drim.. the big brown ones.. nto the triangle ones.. .hahaha! And i remmebr walking up that massive hill many of times! And we've probably met XD
I worked at the Drim. The Eagle lodges are great, especially....Eagle 5, I think. Last time I checked, there was a new fridge and dishwasher installed.
A great place and beautiful scenery.I used to camp there with my family as a young boy.I think the camping site is now for The Sea Scouts. The Pier was still standing in those days and sometimes Films would be shown in the village hall just like the Cinema. The fishing was tremendous in those days.....without a doubt a beautiful part of Scotland.
used to stay there my dad was the bus driver there brings back a lot of memories its such a lovly place want to take my kids to show them where i used to play and explore.
