@helenplum The problem is we Christians believe that the gods of all other religions are actually demons (fallen angels) who impersonate the real God to lead people astray. Allah, Zeus, Mormon Jesus, Mormon "Elohim", Buddha, Krishna, etc. All fallen angels (beautiful, intelligent, ancient beings who were once good, and now lead men away from the real God). Just so you know. That's what we believe. Regardless, I'm not trying to start a fight or nothing, and this is a really pretty song.

So the question is this: Is it that the Christian God would disapprove, or that it's been misinterpretted so that people believe it to be so?

When you play music for other gods (like this song) you are worshipping them. George Harrison starts the song off insinuating he is talking about THE Lord when in fact he is talking about Krishna and made it this way purposely to trick his religious listeners.

@kristineurie44 George Harrison was definitely NOT trying to trick ANYONE. He was always upfront about his beliefs and how he was influenced by Hindu spirituality. He might have had a different interpretation of God than you do, but that's why the song is called "MY Lord" not "THE Lord."

You're entitled to believe that George was wrong for mixing different religions, but you can't call him dishonest because that's just not true.

He was sued over this song as it supposely sounded like someone elses song . I dont even recall the tune but If i understand it right he did lose the suit and it was main reason you dont see it on his greatest hits cd. RIP GEORGE
