  • "Health care is like a road".

Sure. And your ass is like your elbow.

Liberal- a polite way of saying RETARDED.

  • I love the echo,

  • @stripe66506 And now he turned into libertarianism and Austrian economics as there was any financing here. He rejected a great chance of preaching keynesian stuff on TV and getting grants on universities and decided to teach Austrian economics, where there are no grants, no money and essentially no TV. Your story doesn't make much sense. And yes - Mr. Obama is at least partially Marxist - I don't think there is any dispute here.

  • for the love of all thats holy tell yuri not to repeat every half a sentence. the guy is good, but he is making a fool out of himself. just let him take public speaking 101.

  • The greater thing to fear is Facism. Not socialism.

  • @ozzzieau Fascism/Socialism/Communism - it's all the same.

  • @32GaugeSlug The "socialists" ignore the fact that Fascism is just another form of totalitarian socialism knows as crony-corporatism.

When politicians are ALLOWED to redistribute & regulate, they ALWAYS do so to the benefit of their politicial "special interest" friends and backes. These CRONY politicians STEAL for a living.

“Fascism should rightly be called [crony] corporatism, as it is the merger of corporate and government power.” ~ Benito Mussolini

    Fascism is Corporate-Socialism!

  • @yakyakyak69 Most people don't really get that. It's amazing that most brits don't even know that they've just sat through 12 years of a Socialist government. They parrot the medias catch phrases like "nanny state" etc, but don't really understand anything about it, or why it's here. Marx once said, Socialism is the midway point between Corporatism and Communism. We see the New Soviet coming into power (EU), and the normalisation of Europe (immigration/political correctness). We're doomed.

  • @32GaugeSlug THIS is why the Statists REALLY fear the free internet which threatens years of gov't school indoctrination. THIS is why they must "regulate" the internet as part of the "war on terror" to "keep us safe" from the truth.

Statists MUST control the weak minds of societies "takers", so they can control the money & power of societies "makers".

Watch: "Statism's Assembly Line" here on YouTube.

Watch: "Money as Debt full version" here on YouTube.

  • I love Yuri. Down with socialism!

  • why would someone dislike this vid??

  • The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism, but under the name of liberalism they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program until one day America will be a socialist nation without ever knowing how it happened." – Norman Thomas, American socialist

  • @yakyakyak69 Do you have asphalt in front of your shelter, that was formed into a street, completely separate from your involvement?

My guess is yes, you do.

Do you know why that conveniently formed bulk of asphalt was put in front of your house?

To stream-line the efficiency of travel. It is clear all humans contingently must travel in order to pursue their productivity.

The same dynamic concept is in health care. You need to be healthy to be productive.

  • Comment removed

  • @awesomehome123 So, according to YOUR "theory"; Food, Shelter, Education, Clothing, Transportation, Energy and so on should be owned by gov't because "the people" they need these things so they can "be healthy to be productive"?

The Soviets, Chinese, Cubans and others have tried this. It's called Collective Socialism... it kills competitiveness and ENDS productivity because... "Why work for something that you can just use crony politicians to steal for you?"

    All end up starving!

    FOOL

  • They had a surplus of bedbugs.

  • i believe this gentleman is indulging a little too much into the "shock affect." Many of his anecdotal evidence is circumstantial at best: no healthcare in Cuba?? Let's be academically honest, there is healthcare, it may not be at the level of US/Canada, but NO HEALTHcare???

  • @nageen Health care in cuba is only for the wealthy. Not the common people.

  • @nageen You seem to have quite a knack for downplaying the genocidal aspects of communism.

  • Great speech....government is pulling the wool over our eyes about healthcare....we have a great system now. Many things will change, including waiting 6 months to see your primary care doctor; longer for specialists. What President Obama is essentially doing with The Affordable Healthcare Act is "throwing the baby out with the bath water". Regulating healthcare is one thing but destroying it is quite another thing! His intentions may be good but it was done behind closed doors....

  • I would love to get more of these shown to a much wider audience. Maybe Fox needs a new channel?

  • what you say is very true, I see it coming and the road to stop it will be long and difficult if possible. however it is worth the fight.

  • "...No bullets..." hahahahahahaha!

  • lol

  • @successfulbuild is a drone, a state zombie,, you lives in the world of Oz a fairy tale. All you do is use the money to buy stuff from corporations use that stuff like internet, computer to bash the corporation. I wonder what would happen if you refused to comply with a government rule and how much "love" the state will give you. Instead you bash corporations who you patronized voluntarily ok nobody forced you to patronize the corporation. You are blind and emotionally attached to a false ideal.

  • I hope we shall... crush in its birth the aristocracy of our moneyed corporations, which dare already to challenge our government to a trial of strength and to bid defiance to the laws of their country."

    - Thomas Jefferson, letter to George Logan. November 12, 1816.

    _

I'm with Jefferson on this one. Enough quibbling over how to regulate corporations and how much power they should have. The real solution is simple: abolish 'em, abolish 'em.

  • @successfulbuild Hear, hear.

  • @successfulbuild if you hte corporations so bad why don't you get off the internet cause you internet provider is a corporation. If you hate capitalism stop paying money and start living on a farm, make your own clothes, your own shoes, your own bread, your own salad, your own socks. Reality is with out capitalism we would live in the dark ages and my proof is the 100,000 years that humanity lived in the dark ages and poverty. My philosophy don't talk the talk if you can't walk the talk.

  • @successfulbuild You MAY have it half-right: Jefferson's point was the Aristocrcy part -NOT the Corporate part.

I would be all for some Anti-trust breakups in a few Industries like Big Oil and cable communications i.e. ComCast and TimeWarner.

Big Oil quietly pursued merger after merger in the last 15 yrs until there are only a few major producers anymore. Nobody cried foul?

In Cable, there is no reason that content providers and local content distribution would be harmed by being separated.

  • This guy basically advocates his own form of Stalinism or Bolshevism, or serfdom, and makes up numbers to justify his beliefs. Robert Murphy and others recommend ramming through shit that puts even more power in the hands of the corporations, and if corporations do something wrong (such as lock up their workers so they can't escape a fire) it's the workers' fault for being such naught slaves (seriously, he says this in his book PIG series book on capitalism).

  • @successfulbuild false

  • @successfulbuild you need to visit a psychiatrist oh wait he will charge you money and he accepts that capitalism is right. Central planning never works and Mises published a book against socialism in 1920's explaining why it was going to fail. Talk about predicting the future.

  • Furthermore, these are institutional problems. If a corporation tried to use funds to improve working conditions in the third world he'd be out on his ear in three seconds. In fact it would be illegal, since the goal it is required by law to maximize shareholder profit.

    _

This is basically the history of capitalism and the free-market. The government subsidizes corporations' costs, protects them from market risks and lets them keep the profits.

  • "That's the ideal of a capitalist society - except for the rich. Boards of directors are allowed to work together, and so are banks and investors and corporations in alliances with one another and with powerful states. That's fine. It's just the poor who aren't supposed to cooperate."

  • "I certainly think people should begin to question the legitimacy of corporate institutions. In their current form, they're a rather recent phenomenon; their rights were created, mostly by the judicial system, in the late 1800s and were dramatically expanded early in this century."

  • "In my view, corporations are illegitimate institutions of tyrannical power, with intellectual roots not unlike those of fascism and Bolshevism. (There was a time when that kind of anlysis wasn't uncommon - for example, in the work of political economist Robert Brady over fifty years ago. It has very deep roots in working class movements, Enlightenment thought and classical liberalism.)" (Chomsky)

  • And yeah, corporations are a joke and a form of fascism or tyranny. They are government entities. The government has to give corporations billions of dollars just to get them to do anything. Most of the stimulus money benefited corporations, not the public. All the corporate welfare that exists is at least three times that which is spent on social welfare - welfare for the people.

  • "No civilized society would tolerate anything I have just mentioned, which is of course only a tiny sample even of U.S. history, and European history is even worse. And surely no 'civilized world' would plunge the world into a major war instead of following the means prescribed by international law, following ample precedents."

  • Republicans contradict themselves constantly, theres no arguing with them, either they are rich and want to stay rich, or they are brainwashed by patriotism.

  • These far right-wing cults (Austrian economics and objectivism) just get more detached from reality as time goes on.

  • First you guys claim that socialism is over with and that Austrian economics is "making a come back," now you're saying socialism is creeping its way back in. Which is it?

    _

This guys facts and numbers are based on the discredited work of RJ Rummell, who is a failed political scientist, not a historian. His numbers can be easily corrected.

  • Mr Maltsev = Awesome

  • ... in Soviet Russia, Economics studies you.

  • Uhh... right... so, Obama is... like Stalin, because Marx was racist nazi, like... *drumroll* Hitler? (discussion ended)

I mean, how pathetic can argumentation get? Honestly. There are few socialist countries in the world, all of the market economies, and they do NOT include any former Soviet countries. Welcome to Scandinavia to get a glimpse of a socialist paradise (:

  • @sigmundur You are referring to Godwin's Law, yes? In this case the comparison of fascism and socialism is wholly appropriate, and is not simply forumite hyperbole. Do not dismiss this man on such grounds; I daresay he knows the topic at hand better than you.

You are Finnish, so you have more knowledge of your own system, but Reason Magazine did a series of articles on Sweden and their movement away from a "socialist utopia" toward at least a capitalist welfare state. I think it's worth a look.

  • @032125 Hey, can you send me a link to the articles on Sweden?

  • I tried to find out where Marx talked about rac**l tr*sh and I found somethiing here: mehr-freiheit.de/sozitech/marx.html (in German, under the Headline Minderheiten). If this is the original quote though, a translation of V*lkerabf*lle to rac**l tr*sh is in my opinion a little bit distorting and out of context. I would not use that quote to discredit Marxism.

    Very good speech though!

  • @selectordavid: that page is full of Marx "critique" just like you see poor Bible "critique", hand-picking quotes out of context. Marx' texts are full of wacky shit because of sheer age.

That particular passage refers to native peoples, and the "rests of peoples" oppressed and trampled by better organized governments. Looking at USA, for example, you can't say it's complete fabrication...

  • "... the death of a million is a statistic"

Actually Stalin didn't really say that.

  • @shine2rust Anton Antonov-Ovseenko and others make note of this quote from Stalin.

  • Comment removed

  • Where can I find Marx´s quotes about the vasque being unfit and should be "removed" ?

    thanks for the help....

  • "So why mass murder? Because socialism can not exist without it."

    Wow! What a statement.

  • @InternetDisciple yep thats what they told me in college

  • If you want to be taken seriously don't mention Gleen Beck. Thank you.

  • My biggest fear is that one day the US government will come and execute everyone in the LvMI. I know it's bad to say this. But who knows? Besides, it's legal for them now to execute US citizens, right? You never known history repeats itself. It would not surprise me if this would happen. Let's hope not though. What do you all think about that? :S

  • @TheBrotherMouzone Or at least imprison them all for being "unpatriotic".

  • Appearing on Glen Beck is not exactly something to be proud of... But press is press I guess.

  • Excellent presentation, 5 stars! Everybody should see the Soviet Story film, I know it has been at least in the past on Google videos.

  • I find this video is really informative ... really informative ...

  • The unfortunate fools that inhabit the nation of the United States are currently running very short on time. If a plethora of eyes are not opened within a relatively short period of time it is highly likely that the hammer and sickle will, at least in some form, become the guiding instrument of American life.

The clock is relentlessly and unmercifully ticking...

  • Would someone please post Clif notes to what this economist said?

Listened to the whole video but none of his message made any sense. Disjointed tidbits of his life in Russia somehow translate to socialism in the U.S.? Plus I hated his delivery. If he wants to be a comedian, he needs better material.

  • Excellent presentation.

  • It all seems designed ta frighten ppl inta renewin their Mises membership at least..... but how much of dis is merely livin in da past? Tat is a favrit MO of adherents 2 da fatal attraction of countries lyk da USA (which is now totally obsessed by ideology) + Russia/former USSR (which was once obsessed by ideology)......

  • Vlad Putin has actually changed quite a lot recently since he was put publically on da spot ("'Tea Party' with Vladimir Putin + Yuri Shevchuk: 'blue buckets' + freedom of speech - change, uhh!" ...../watch?v=RyI3PHA57Jw ). But, pls, a health system tat is da best 4 sum but not 4 ALL citizens is also a ting of da past..... betta wake up, guyz

  • @ddchalmers You seem reasonably intelligent. Why write like a fool?

  • Unlyk U, @Pwecko, I dun need ta prove how cleva I am..... LOL

  • @ddchalmers That's very good. Most amusing. You are full of wit. Or something like that.

  • @ddchalmers You're absolutely right we should abolish the third party payer system we have in healthcare and return to when the patient payed the doctor directly for most procedures and insurance was for catastrophic events only. This in turn will reduce the cost of insurance and healthcare in general dramatically. Also, the poor who cannot afford even drastically reduced healthcare rates will still receive care as they did before we had our current system because doctors could afford the write off

  • Exakly da kinda ekkynomik garbage worthy of yr 'dirtbagstatus', @dirtbagstatus, uhh. Mises has become an enclave of chauvinist fools, not Austrian ecom=nomists..... USA is heddin 4 a revolution wid d!khedz lyk U in charge.....

  • @ddchalmers Please try to learn English,as I almost got a headache trying to read your sentences. You clearly misunderstand economics if you think that some form of government agency will ever be able to have real time information to make the correct calculations for division of labor and resources when there are millions of transactions daily.Only those individuals directly interacting with people will know.

  • Yr brayne will start improvin as a result, @dirtbagstatus ...IF U can ovacum yr otha shawtcumins, uhh. BTW dun post responses here any maw, its 2 far down da page now.....

  • @ddchalmers I would disagree with your first statement, as almost anyone familiar with the mises istittue well knows socialism lacks the market signals needed to rationally calculate supply and demand, and therefore the division of labor.Which in turn leads to massive malinvestment. Yuris lecture only gives more examples of this.

  • Maw garbage, @dirtbagstatus..... da GFC occurred 4 exaqkly tat reason ....in capitalist economies, uhh. Wat is worse, dey R now turnin inta 'socialist' economies as a result of tat 'malinvestment' in proppin up das kapital!

  • @ddchalmers Once again try to learn something about monetary theory.I can give you a detailed explanation as to why this happened, could you do the same?Or will you just revert back to your tired and weak marxist strategy of always attacking capitalism and never trying to offer an alternative that actually works?

  • "Democide = death by gvmt"! LOL

  • The system is only 'glued' together by FEAR.....

  • This guy is great. Puts a comedic spin on an extremely serious subject.

  • If only liberals would do as much research as the rest of us.

  • OBAMA IS A JOKE

  • This guy is hilarious.

  • 8mb5555PCfU! sorry for the spam, but he said all there is to say.

  • @TimothyBragan

    Twice.

  • 16:16 Soviet Story. Netflix doesn't have it yet, but it's there to reserve.

  • @CurtHowland

    mefeedia dot com/watch/28771192

  • @CurtHowland I have it on my channel named the truth about marxism.

  • Very interesting, however he has a dreadful habit of repeating phrases...

  • Yuri for Prime Minister.

  • Excellent speech. Mr. Maltsev's point of view is very interesting and authentic since he has seen both sides: Statism and ... statism.

  • This guy is brilliant. He should do some standup comedy shows on tv.

  • @MrManuelNoriega Why? We already have Yakov Smirnov

  • @MrManuelNoriega

    youtube com/results?search_query=yakov+smirnoff&aq=0

  • Now Michael Moore, you have won your Universal healthcare battle with untruthful methods by lying enormously. In the end, it is only to pursue your own interest.

Universal healthcare is benefiting people TODAY for the sake of the future. Free-marked run healthcare is benefiting the future for the sake of TODAY. Like free marked products, it might be expensive in the beginning, but similar to flat-screen TV's and Laptop computers it will become cheaper and cheaper while the quality goes up.

  • @bjarnet3 The only reason that healthcare is expensive now is because of interference by govt.

My chiropractor was telling me this morning that the state has been constantly messing with his licensing, and while it used to be easy to make a living it is now getting harder and harder and he may have to leave soon if it gets any worse.

  • @CurtHowland exactly!

  • I love u mises inst you are doing a good job educating the people not brainwashing like government dependent universities! Even private schools take gov grants and gov backed student loans so of course the will not bite the had that feeds them even if the hand will choke all of them eventually!

  • sweet! finally posting vids in HD! Please please keep doing this!

  • Great closing lines. Wow!

  • Thanks for posting these. Yuri and Tucker were great.

  • Thank you Mr Maltsev. Unfortunately I believe there are many young Americans who have been thoroughly propagandized by far left elements against rational and humane economics. The people in their mid to high 20's at the moment seem to be the worst for this culture of irrational and self enslaving entitlement.

If this nation is to recover itself, we must go forward teaching the basic economics of liberty.

  • @kmg501 I feel like i lost my rights and freedom with the patriot act, when bush was in office. We got our money back from the stimulus, and the guy from hee haw fucking started this war to begin with. Like i said nothing but contradictions and blind patriotism.

  • @msbensucks Yes. Wars are often lead to the curtailment of liberties. The US wanted to control a major oil reserve in one area of Mesopotamia so that other countries couldn't get to it. The US has put down dozens of movements that attempted to overthrow despotic leaders in the ME. The US finally left alone Indonesia (after supporting them through their worst crimes) and it has started to make progress. The people in the ME need to figure out their own problems, US made the situation worse.

  • @kmg501 As a 24 year old (25 in a week) I am doing everything I can to educate and promote the principles of Liberty and sound economics to the drones that occupy all age brackets.

  • "Yuri, you were probably right about socialism coming - the bed bugs are already here!"

  • @TheBullionBull I first listened to this on their podcast and was laughing my ass off at that comment. Sadly those bastards invaded my old condo in college just a year ago. Damn bugs still creep me out to this day.

  • @TheBullionBull Yeah, well, re: the "Bedbugs" of socialism that are here: throw them out with the nasty old bedding they reside in!

And make it our mission to educate and constantly remind the remaining freedom loving yet naive children and others aflicted with the communist brainwashing the errors of this line of thinking and point out the virtues -and rewards- of truly a truly free life -THE AMERICAN WAY!!!

It is only their ignorance that chains them to leftist thinking. Show them the way!!!

  • This one was kinda scary.

  • This is a good speach anyone ever want to see a movie about Russian Goodlag rent the movie goodlag you have no clue what those people suffered. Him being able to joke about this is his way to keep from crying.

  • @cdltpx

Hi, do you have any more information about that movie? I searched and could not find anything on it. No movie called Goodlag on English sites.

  • @kmg501 I watched the movie in the late 1980's it was a while back so it might be hard to find.

  • @cdltpx

    No worries mate, thanks.

  • @kmg501 I expect it's spelled "Gulag", which IMDB shows several hits for, including a 2000 documentary which I expect is it.

Unfortunately, it's not in NetFlix' list.

But then, "One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich" isn't in NetFlix either.

  • @CurtHowland

Doh! Good catch Curt, thank you.

  • What a great talk. I really enjoyed it, and learned a lot.

  • @dennist3hmenace agreed
