Only do this if you are not going to use the car adapter anymore,

Cut the car adaptor's charging cable at a good length, and strip the black and red wires that are in the tubing. Next, find a household AC adaptor that gives 4.5 to 6 Volts of electricity, and then cut that wire also. For the Adapter, trim it right to the edge of the end plug-in so you have the full length wire. Join the blacks and the reds , or if u have white, join red to white, and try it out.
