I'm a Sabbath fan since the '70's including both '80&'82 and I don't understand the pointless which era was best debate.It was all great influential stuff,all legacy inspiring.

Dio was a legend, I saw the first tour he did with Sabbath. BUT to claim that he made Sabbath better than before is the fucking most ridiculous statement I've ever read. At best, the Dio era had only a handful of songs that were on par with anything from the first 8 Sabbath albums. So let's see...6 great songs (add 2 more with Gillan,*Disturbing the Priest and *Zero the Hero) vs 80 with Ozzy...CASE FUCKING CLOSED.

Yes he does. With early Sabbath and solo albums the guy was awesome. But Ronnie injected life into the group when he joined. They are both awesome in different ways. I love em both.

Could Ozzy do Dio tunes? No.....Did Dio have Ozzy's soul on the original Black Sabbath tunes... No, you can't replace what Ozzy did from 70-78.

Both great lineups though, and I'm glad they decided on the name change. Hopefully H&h won't spell the end for the original Black Sabbath though. Never seen Dio live with Tony and Geezer though, though I'm hoping in 2009.

ozzys voice is not good he is most known becouse his attitude and energy. Ozzy is just headbaging but dio is kind of sentimental. However Sabbath is most known becouse that energy, thats why sabbath is more relationed with ozzy. I think ozzy as a singer is too overrated.

Dio's band was called Dio (when he wasn't singing for deep purple or Rainbow or Elf, Ozzy was Ozzy, Ian's sang for both Deep Purple & BS (back and forth). I mean really, how can both Butler and Iommi be together in a band and not call it Sabbath? Iommi + Butler - Ward & Ozzie + Vinny & Dio = anything other than Black Sabbath. I'm so confused...

Dio is at the top of his game when teamed up with with Tony Iommi, or Ritchie Blackmore. Black Sabbath's Heaven and Hell is my favorite album. Hope the band name will hold to this standard.

heaven and hell is still sabbath, i personally think they should have kept the name black sabbath but that shouldnt matter, to me sabbath is only sabbath with the following lineups.
