Well camping will always be in online shooters. I do believe certain games do a good job of at least catering to both styles of play. BF3's rush mode seems to have a nice balance of defensive posture/camping vs rush offensive posture. Everyone is happy and it seems to work out because the defense plays their defensive game and the offense looks for exploits in their defense and it is fun to crush them and push them back. COD is frustrating because there seems to be no method to the madness.

In the marketing world, ELITE is code for "SUCKA!" I can imagine at the Activision board meeting some DIE HARD Harry Ellis type said something akin to "They'll beg for ELITE, heck it will sell like hotcakes baby." Make knifing a two hit kill from front and 1 hit kill from back. Bring back 3,5,7 kill streaks. Remove Kick. Do not make UAV a 3 kill streak. Deadman's hand should only be applicable if you have a c4 equipped. Final Stand should only be used with pistols. Emp should not be a Support Streak. Promote gun on gun gameplay. Killstreaks should NOT stack. Improve lag issues. Promote movement. Remove Juggernaut.

What they should do is what was in COD1 pc version. If you stay in a general area ( a room) for to long time, a target poped up over your head so everyone can see you through the walls and you popped up on the mini map as a red dot. Basically its saying "here is the camper" Kind of like revenge death streak but for campers

What they should do is make it so you have to run a certain distance over the course of the game. So lets say in TDM, you'd have to run half a mile during the game or you don't level up.

This was like KZ2 & 3. When you run, the red dot appears. Just reverse that so that when you're still, the dot appears until you start running... that's all you need and you're set. Exactly like your idea.
