She has studied classical singing, where you must interpret already existing music. Classical singers hardly write any music, simply because it's not their job. A composer on the other hand usually has no idea how to sing or play all instruments he's writing music to. She simply needed time to learn, to get into songwriting. What is fake in that? Actually she already co-wrote 11 songs on MWS, and basically all in her upcoming album.

Do you know what you're talking about? I'm not sure what composers you mean, but classical composers know very good about each instrument's features. Even though they can't play all of them, they know how to do this in "theory".

I wrote that they can't play them, the same as you. Where's the problem? Of course they know how the instruments work (I think all serious classical musicians know that), I just wanted to point out how differently are musicians educated. I'm pretty sure that a singer doesn't get songwriting classes and that a composer wouldn't be able to play most of his/her songs. Does this discussion go anywhere anyway? Tarja rules, Kamelot too and we hate blind, trueness-obsessed fans.

musikmood: It's understandable that you're disappointed that Kamelot won't come this time. I'd be too, if it would be about Tarja. But it's not correct to say that she doesn't deserve to play here just because you don't like her. She has a huge fanbase around the would, and people are interested in this performance of her.

and for that reason TARJA dont deserve to play in this concert

and on page of opera rock you can vote for bands and kamelot and tarja was in the list, but tarja is comercial anyway....

Mind you, I think it's up to us to decide who is playing in the show. It also depends if a band is avaliable at a certain time or not. Kamelot are good (we'd like to work with them in the future), but please respect other artists as well.
