The producer takes on a LOT of risk, and should be appropriately compensated. Your friends were exploited. To those on the outside, that can mean "taken advantage of", but to those in the industry, it means someone took the time to take an unknown and turn them into a commodity.

The situation as far as I can tell:
Mediocre Films seems to have started the Retarded Policeman series with the argeement that the RP people would be paid whatever their standard contracting fee was.
After the RP people realized Mediocre Films was cashing in huge from the videos, they wanted more.
MF, as far as there is evidence, does not owe RP anything whatever.

I'm guessing there was no such binding agreement, or else there would be no need for the youtube pandering.
If a legal contract was broken, take it to court. If it wasn't, as I suspect, then lesson learned and I'm sure that mistake won't be made again.

I completely agree with you Corey. The idea that some corporate douchebag would do something like this is gut wrenching. It's so upsetting knowing that two people that work hard and love entertaining people are being treated so poorly. It is really unfortunate that the "retarted policeman" videos are no longer being made, but i suppose it is for the better, but who says that they won't make something else just as good without someone without a soul stealing all of their profits.

Greg did not do 100% of anything. The original agreement was 50/50. Greg may say differently, but he lies. The Perry Bros never asked for a penny more, they simply want was agreed upon FROM THE BEGINNING.
Being there from the beginning = Actually knowing what happened VS
Pure speculation = Wrong summation
Also, Josh was already in a TV series and in a movie. Greg did not make him as you say. The person who should be credited with that is his brother.

Corey, love you brother, but welcome to the entertainment industry. It's UBER important to get an agreement of profit division upfront...and you need to understand that not all income is profit. The producer takes on a LOT of risk, and should be appropriately compensated. Your friends were exploited. To those on the outside, that can mean "taken advantage of", but to those in the industry, it means someone took the time to take an unknown and turn them into a commodity.
