One last thing... To anyone watching this who is going to say anything about her hair, read this please. In the original Rapunzel story, her hair wasn't magical and even when it got cut, it was still long and blonde. This could be one of the reasons anyone complains about the hair. Also, if she has magic in her tears and hair, it should be in her blood too, which should in turn, bring magic back to her hair unless something is wrong with her body biologically on the inside.

No, the hair doesn't look bad, but it doesn't fit in with the original tale, nor does it act like normal hair would if it had access to magical properties. Some people just complain because they don't like the way her new haircut looks, but a few of us complain because of the reasons I mentioned.

@JeretKings uhm...please do your research? the Brothers Grimm COLLECTED fairytales - they never claimed that they wrote them. the real rapunzel is french, but the story thre is still a bit different than the Grimm´s one and her name was different too - Rapunzel is the German name (I´m german...). and her tear in the german version was a healing tear, don´t know about the french one. (but since disney used the german name i guess they based it on the german version...)

So did I! In fact, I grew up with her keeping the long hair since Disney waited till I was like 18 to put out this movie! Before then, all I had was my Rapunzel storybook and it was the "darker" version because her hair wasn't magical, her parents were poor and she eventually gave birth to twins out in the desert and her "prince" was blinded by thorns.

Its not just that. If she really had all that magical power in her, in reality, her hair would already be blonde and super long again. Disney flubbed that one up. If anyone challenges me on this, I've got one thing to say. Blood carries everything throughout our bodies. If she has magical properties, it would be in her blood and some of it is bound to be used in her hair again.

@CosplayCore Tangled Ever After is about 6 minutes in length and previewing before Beauty and the Beast. It's a very cute short (mostly about Maximus and Pascal) and worth seeing in my opinion. It's not like the "Disney sequels" you're talking about. If you weren't disappointed with Tangled, then you won't be disappointed with Tangled Ever After, even though 6 minutes will go by very fast. :) If that answers your question...

Because Disney really flubbed up. What should have happened (because of the magic in her blood) was a brief moment of brown hair, just long enough for Mother Gothel to cease to exist and then the magic should have come flooding back as soon as that one tear fell and revived Eugene.

The tear was to say that was her last bit of magic leaving. It just wouldn't make a whole lot of sense if the story pulled a Billy Mays on us (But wait! There's more!) and decided, "Oh her hair is magic again"
