  • Thaaaats a fast one

  • who tuned it?

  • nice red line!! bet that did wonders for ya!

  • hey samsa, the stock rev limit is 6250, not 6000 and does not change whatsoever. What can change is timing which is either retarded or advanced to reduce pinging and knock or to increase power depending on certain conditions (outside temp, fuel octane, driving style etc).

  • that cant be a stage 3 it must have a hybrid td04 as its boosting higher than the standard turbo ever could up the top end. it must be about 340bhp

  • Question for all the Saab people watching this. My Viggen has a Nordic stage III upgrade, except for some reason it's only boosting half into the orange. Should a stage III boost right to the end of red? Or is orange accurate for a staged viggen? I've tried everything, any idea?!

  • do you have a blow off, boost controller and wastegate actuator?

as for the viggen aero difference, im not sure what it's called in england. if it has a 2.3 liter engine with trionic 7 (black ignition cassette) on a 1998-2002 9-3, its a viggen. same for the 2003 convertible. i think the aero version of the first generation 9-3 just has a crossflow intercooler and stiffer wastegate actuator spring, but its 2 liter, not 2.3. viggen also has triangle above front side blinkers with lightening bolt.

  • maybe its time to invest in a boost gauge. the stock one might be inaccurate. happened to me, i completely disabled my stock boost gauge because its pointless.

  • I have a Viggen too, when you don't have inaf boost (like 1/2 0r 2/3 on the yellow only) that means your oxigen sensor is on fail.

Normally you have to stay between yellow and red or above with the stock ecu..

With a stage 3 you go at 2/3 of the redline with a good ecu tune.

  • but cool to look at!

  • lol yes...

  • Your ntake air sensor is gone.

The stock car in normal condition have to stay in the top end of yellow in 3-4-5th gear

In 1st half yellow due to torque limiter, second ghear 4/5 of yellow.

On a complete stage 3 you will go to 3/4 in the red.

  • I have saab 9-3 aero -01

  • I think this car has around 300-320 engine PS. No way 450 whp. 100-150km/h time is around 4sec. My car a 9-5, which weights about 150kgr more than the viggen needs 4.6 sec for the same and this with 305PS. But this is only my opinion.

  • So fast.

  • my saab 9-3 aero(viggen) is original and have just a bsr filter and goes whit the first gear to 7000 rpm..but the other gears goes to 6000-6500 rpm

  • What year? theres no such thing as an aero viggen. viggen has a 2.3 liter 230bhp engine and was only made from 1999 to 2002. the first generation aero was the same as the 1999 HOT only with t7 instead of t5. it had a 2.0 liter 205 bhp engine. the aeros made after 2002 were slower, but had more power. these cars were a GM made engine and it was a 2.8 liter 280 bhp engine. but yeah, if you have an SE or first generation aero, i know what you mean. my SE with 3" exhaust and filter goes 7000 n first

  • Well the 9-3 Aero in England was actually the Viggen, just called an Aero. Right?

  • The also made 2.0t aeros, before they came out with the turbocharged 2.8.

  • i own a viggen. redline 5500 limiter 6500 not 7000

  • nope. sorry. redline on stock first generation 9-3 of any sort (se, viggen, TiD, the rare n/a version, aero HOT) is 6000 and the limiter comes on at different times depending on how well the engine can breathe and how high the temperatures reach. but how the hell do you think the redline is at 5500? its not a fuckin school bus or a corvette.

  • this is actually nicks viggen from taliaferro with around 450 whp

  • standard????? it shouldn't stay there for long it prob dips into it.

  • i also happen to know that saabs don't go into the red on the boost gauge standard. it actually says in the manuals it shouldn't go through the red. so it would take an ecu remap for it to run higher boosts so it goes into the red.

  • my dads 97 900se gets in to the red

  • no way is that 225 hp . this is obviously tuned.

  • why the fuck woudl some one less than what the car actually makes this car make 225hp not unbelievble but obviously you drive a honda

  • seriously what tune is this

  • i have a saab 900 se not quite as cool as the viggen but i love my car i dunno what happend, but when i was 10 years old i noticed saab and just fell in love with thier lines..i cant see myself driving anything else..cool video..people underestimate what my car can do on the higway all the time lol all i can say is turbo rocks!

  • FAST

  • maybe there's something wrong? because usualy it always goes into the red zone a bit.

  • Is this viggen stage 1 remap (270bhp) ?

i own a std viggen and it only boosts 3/4 through the yellow on the std boost gauge !

  • Obviously 3rd cog guys - limited to 155 top end.

  • thats 3rd gear, i have own a viggen.. its 3rd gear! end of story

  • own* oops

  • THAT IS NOT!!!!!! 4th gear. its defiantly 3rd gear. i have the same exact car.. except mines not that slow. not bad for your stock saab tho. =-D

  • so this is a stage 1? I'm planning to buy one btw.

  • is this fast forwarded? wow. i have a 2001 9-3SE and im starting to mod it, this is how i want mine

  • That's 4th gear btw.

    Rogo

  • actually thats not 4th gear it's 3rd he just over reved the car

  • That is Nick's Viggen-mine is close :)

    Rogo

  • wow that how i want my saab 9-3

  • whoa thats nice...

  • call me when you get to 140... ;-)

  • what stage tune? haha nice video

  • um stock its a saab

  • iiincredible!
