look into kukishin ryu bojutsu :) might help you alot :) with aggression / actually attacking. This would win any competition in my opinion, but lose most fights. Depends what youre using it for though :)
You did a great job, all it needs is more power. You need to be agressive with the attacks: the pokes and punches. All the rest of the spinning is great, just need to be stronger with the attacks. Also, when you step forward or back, step further outward and bend your legs into a deeper stance. The real warriors always had deep stances.
Yup; very, very, very true. A citizen's best friend is a firearm. Firearms are my favorite form of weapon because they are so simple.
That is why I don't understand why governing officials in multiple countries love to deny innocent civilians their Right to self defense by taking their guns... it makes no sense.
@the5thCount those solid strikes would pack a punch but the flourishes and spins lack a sturdy hand to deal any real impact not to mention the chance of the staff being disarmed when a hit with the flourish is made its intimidating as hell but i doubt this man would spin it in a fight as a form of attack
@the5thCount Yes... But guys don't forget that nothing in this video nor in this conversation is close to bojutsu. Japanese martial arts feature absolutely NO fancy moves. Check out real bojutsu to see what I mean.

@killgore333333
Correct...
My spinning it would really do nothing to actually take someone down, it is merely what I have been taught.
The only really solid strikes I really make in this vid are my two handed strikes...
But as you can barely see from the bad quality of the vid, I can also use a butterfly knife...
