Impressive, i am collecting typewriters too and hopefully next week i will have 46 typewriters. My oldest one is a 1909 machine that has been serving the war. It has been re-painted in a war green colour. I hate it when people cut of the keys of typewriter to make jewlery. i always say it is against my religion. How many do you have.
@DrTypewriter We have 10, I think. One is in two pieces, so does that count as two? Seriously, I'm glad you're out rescuing them! We're hoping to adopt a few more ourselves soon...
@ashlandcreekpress Well, i wish you the best of luck. Yes, you can count the one in two pieces as two. I have a collection of 46 and one is for parts. Half of the stuff is missing but i still see it as a piece of my collection. Great job and i love you're Smith Premier. Good that you still use them and good luck collecting. If you need any advice just ask me.
This is John Yunker and, though I clearly frown on the typewriter jewelry industry, Midge says she loves her bracelet and that she got it at the Hillcrest Farmer's Market in San Diego.
That's one hilarious video, and, as a former secretary/admin.asst. for over twenty years, I loved my IBM correcting typewriter - actually if anybody's got one...Nevermind, I've only been on a computer a very short time, I might get my wires crossed! or, uncrossed...
BTW, I also love, love, love artistic design, and frankly my alternate self would really like a bracelet just like the one in the video! Can you tell me where I can get one?
