Suggestion. Get the Whammy in, demo it with the '59 one that Eastwood does, Jack White doesn't even sound like this, this has humbuckers, Jack's has single coils and the '59 that Eastwood make has reissues of the single coils. I've played both and they are real pertty and play nice but the knobs get in the way of my arm. I suggest the Map guitar they make, that's really nice.

Those aren't humbuckers that they put in that particular model. They are vintage voiced singles that are in a humbucker like cover. The originals were like that too, single coils. Eastwoods website confirms it plus you can hear it in the tone.

who cares if it isnt exactly the same as the guitar that jack white plays, it is a quality reproduction of what was a cheap plastic guitar that was impossibly hard to play. This guitar looks, sounds and probably feels just as good if not better imo.

eastwoods feel and sound good. (they are not for everyone, either you get it or you dont) you might argue that plastic ones are better but getting a good tone from those was and is not easy. it is posible but not easy . keeping them in tune is another challenge.

i owned the airline map and the 3p deluxe , i had to sell them. ( i was short on cash and i regret it) on the "twang" department this guitars shined, their semi hollow mahogany vibed great. no noise.... (sigh)

im as big of a white stripes fan as anybody, but i would NEVER buy this guitar. its not because its not plastic. its just cause i could never buy a guitar used by one of my favorite guitarists. nobody should buy this, a big muff, and a digitech whammy among other things just to sound like him. you cant possibly expect to go anywhere if you sit around copying someone else. he has already done so much amazing music with this guitar, and we should respect that

Yeah really the only appeal of the Airline is the fact that it was plastic and a POS... That's what made it great. It gave it a unique voicing that no other guitar had... With a wood body you are just making another high end electric guitar with a non-standard body shape. :(

the guy told me he had a mexican fender for his old blues band so the airline was just collecting dust in his garage so he first offered it for 30 i didn't know what it was so i didn't want it so he lowered the price to 20 and now i think its worth like 2000
