  • yes, but the base u didn't made by yourself ! is not so hard go in the shop and buy the sachet of all ready cake base. Where is the point?? just asking. Anyway nice cake! :)

  • @italainspice The point is that it isn't hard to make because you are using ready made ingredients for part of the recipe. That's why the recipe playlist is called "recipes from cake mixes"

You are missing the point completely. No need to respond to this.

  • is all ready made cake! lol.

  • @italainspice That would be the reason the title of the video is "recipes using cake mixes"

  • i love your videos o: ..it always looks yummy^^

  • @KHLover1234 Lol 4 layer lemon surprise. ( the surprise is that there are only 3 layers!!)

  • Looks fantabulous!

  • i tried this and it came out amazing thanx for ur vids.! :D

  • It could also be called "4 Layer Lemon Suprise" :DD

  • Made this and what a surprise..it tasted amazing...thank you for the recipe...

  • i HAVE to make this for my mom she loves lemon mer.pie....

  • @PinkGlitteryStars This tastes just like lemon meringue pie, she will love it.

  • YUMMY! YUM! YUM!

  • @omgitsjihah Thanks!

  • I've made this four times...perfect every time. It always gets raves. My problem is that if I have any left over, I can't stay away from it. It's so delish!

  • @TheHarBoat Sorry I missed your comment the first time around! Thanks for letting me know you tried this and enjoyed it.

  • Hi ya Tammy

This is the 3rd time I made this & I can not get the topping to fluff. Do I need to use a glass bowl maybe? any ideas let me know OK The cake come out fine & taste great.

    BIG HUGS Irene

  • @tweetnes My topping wasn't all that fluffy either. I find the secret to fluffy meringue is room temperature egg white prior to beating them.

  • @tweetnes OK TY Tammy i will try that. Then someone was telling me to make sure the bowl was cold? I have done in the past but I do not remember using cream of tarter in it.

Oh My it is so good! I had to divide it up in containers & put it in the fridge or I will eat the whole cake =O

  • mamamam

    yummy ;D

  • @ImHappyWithYouxD Thanks!

  • I love this recipe and it really is a two for one, because that filling is really a nice modified lemon curd. Have you seen the price of lemon curd in the store? YIKES! almost $5.00 for a 6 ounce jar. This looks like it makes a considerable amount more and would make a nice addition to other recipes as well. Thank you for sharing. Going to try this one for sure. Noreen

  • @atticus9799 I've never tried commercially available lemon curd before.

This is a very easy filling to do, takes about the same amount of time to make as the lemon pie mix packages and tastes better for sure.

Thanks for commenting and watching Noreen.

  • @atticus9799 are you malaysian?

  • oh my goodness, yumm thanks!

  • @Fitange Thanks and you are welcome.

  • I used this recipe for Thanksgiving. It was one of three desserts we had that day. This untraditional dessert stole the spotlight and everyone that tried it said it was delicious and wanted to take some home with them. I left the gathering with only a few pieces left in the pan.

    Thanks for the inspiration Tammy.

  • @HughBomb Thanks so much for letting me know that you tried this! I really enjoy hearing from people (especially when it turns out, lol).

  • Looks really yummy!! Blessings, Ang

  • @GramsandPapi Thanks Ang!

  • wow love this i might try this at christmas its amazing

  • @sewsweet08 This is a really nice dessert that makes enough for a large group.

  • i had a pie baking contest and i picked lemon meringue pie and it was from a cook book recipethat i had and it was the best pie i ever made because it was made with real fresh lemons of course i added more lemons than what the recipe called for it was the best

  • @thebluebunny1 It is so good with real lemons!

  • Yay thank you. so glad i subcribed

  • @monalisa20 Thanks! Welcome aboard.

  • I LIKE the idea of a pie with a cake as its crust. I'm gonna have to make this.

  • @anmoose I actually prefer this crust to regular pie crust for lemon meringue.

  • OK That is soooo freakin awesome. It turned out great even thought the egg whites did not fluff like yours did :) Yummmm Yummmmm! ..I will so make this again TY

    BIG HUGS

  • @tweetnes I actually prefer this crust to regular pie crust for lemon meringue. Were your egg whites at room temperature? I found that the meringue fluffs up better that way.

  • @yoyomax12 Oh I really like this way to make the crust. We could use it for other pies too =)

Oh maybe the eggs were cold because I messed up the the 1st whites. So I had to separate 4 more eggs. Do you think the cream of tarter I had could have been to old? I have had it for a long time. (more then 5 years) I got some new cream of tarter for the next time. TY for helping me out. BIG HUGS

  • OK I did this but could not get the the egg whites to do like yours. It is baking now

In the directions at the bottom it did not say anything bout the egg yokes. So I watched your video 1:02 again to make sure I did that right.

The sauce sure gets think Let you know how it came out later OK

  • @tweetnes I did omit a portion of the instructions in the recipe description, thanks for finding the error! I have fixed it.

  • @yoyomax12 TY I really liked this a lot & will make it for Turkey Day :)

  • Yum!

  • @1DRock37167 :)

  • That looks so good!!! Looks like a cake/pie for thanksgiving on the menu. : )

  • @darlynn12 I actually prefer this crust to regular pie crust for lemon meringue, it is delicious

  • @bcdoula Max has to make some new jokes soon!

  • @thizizliz I actually prefer this crust to regular pie crust for lemon meringue, I may never use a pie crust again for this.
