If I'm a programmer and code an application in C/C++ or another programming language then the government now wants to forbid me publishing the source code? Aha, so I can only upload the compiled software or what? But how does the gov wants to approve it then if they only have the compiled software which in most cases cannot be decompiled anymore?
Not only it's an oxymoron, it sounds like complete nonsense too. People who want to learn programming need source codes in order to learn from other programmers. That's the whole idea of open source, to share your knowledge and skills as a programmer with other programmers.
So if the government really wants to forbid all that then I can only come to one logical conclusion: They don't want people to write free software anymore. As I said, complete nonsense.

The technology itself that Jason is talking about is excellent, everything from the avatar to biometrics. The problem is only in how it is going to be used and forced upon us to communicate and do commerce. In a free society, this type of technology is excellent and extremely useful. Lookup Project Natal on youtube. there's a conference on it from last year, i have a buddy who his buddy works for the video game company and was at that conference. He was telling me all about what Project Natal can do. I think it will put the Wii out of business.

Nope, both of them picture the human body to the console, EYE uses picture recognition and natal motion. And besides that, eye has also infrared-motion sensing, but not as strong, but it'll be used with the arc-controller.
Just check out the Tech demos on youtube. just type in project natal eyetoy and you'll find the videos. Please, don't be a fanboy.

internet 2 needs to happen. the consumers need a faster network to run in the airways. for developers its a nightmare because of bandwidth restrictions in many areas. people have to compress websites and information. there is a large demand for true hd 4x and vastly better quality than youtube. if you want that a faster internet is the answer or somthing more advanced than what we have now. the only way internet companys and large cellphone providers even exist is the laws and lawmakers.

I think that once it gets too far, I mean too far is already "Face book" "google wave" "twitter" and even "Youtube" I believe the transparency issues are going to annoy the normal people, and what they are going to really do is train the "next generation" to live with the lack of privacy, and this is where we must step in. If we ever lose the net, we still can talk to people we meet and inform them. I think the truth movement is most definately spreading. It's a matter of time before the people get fed up with the system. We have to have an alternative to take it's place. Such as if we didn't have their money system what would we have to replace it?? We also need to focus on our local areas. The basics are food, water, and shelter.
