1: I saw Styx in concert in 2001 at Aberdeen Proving Grounds in MD. The stage was in an open field so you could literally walk right up to the stage. I stopped about 10 ft. from it directly in front of JY. It was pouring rain that night and the crowd never left. Tommy even asked why we were staying and since we were, they would continue to play in a thunderstorm. 2: Did you see a couple of the kids behind Tommy esp. the dark haired girl? They went nuts with head banging. :)
Great show. The only thing that was missing is the awesome Dennis DeYoung! But since he has the gift of gab and usurped the mic in the past, I'm sure Tommy is now enjoying the limelight.
@ronco525 me toooooooo.. awesome DVD!! also, drummer Todd Sucherman has a couple awesome dvd's with some styx footage and remakes,' manic depression' One way out>etc.
wheres the rest of it? fook! But seriously i saw Styx about 4 times back in the day... thet r a much better Rock band now but stil dig Dennis but this is cleary a JY band now.
You are so f..... out of touch. Arrogant Dennis HAD to be replaced. He brought the band down . Styx is still a great band!! Roll with the times buddy!!!!
there only copying what dennis deyoung did 2 years earlier, styx is so sad and pathetic these days...........seems i was right when i said in 1999 that forcing dennis deyoung out would be the end of styx, there nothing more then a cover band these days
@pbabowler2007 Yeah, Dennis really was something. I guess Styx should all hit Broadway and do 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame' with him and Liza Manelli. Because that's what rock is all about, right? Yeesh.
Give everyone a break. "Killroy Was Here" was badly conceived, and it ripped the band to tatters. Go Dennis!
Dennis had major problems and HAD to be replaced, no other way. I'm just glad Tommy and JY are still able to carrrrryyy onnnn with their awesome chemistry. Those lucky kids!!!!!!!!
