Nice job. Interesting that there was a plane included in that showcase. In the behind the scenes book written by musical director Stan Blits, among the did-you-know facts mentioned was "There was 1 airplane given away". I guess that's the thing that made this one unique. If Bob Barker was hosting this episode, he would call it "a historic moment". Congratulations, Kelly!
Hey, Kelly, congratulations! I also thought you had lost there, since Davidson Showcases usually weren't that low on the scale.
Do you remember, perchance, either the episode number or tapedate? The episode number would be something like "#00xxN", with the "xx" being a number from 01 to 80.
I can help you narrow it down -- the opening sequence for this episode (featuring pilot/daytime shots) was used for the first half of the run (01-40).
Wow! What a flashback. I'd forgotten about the show. That was too funny. I was about to look at your other videos when I noticed that funny looking guy near the end of the clip (5:38 mark). It was me. I'm the guy in the blue shirt and glasses. That was a fun memory. Thanks for posting it.
Doug Davidson is a great game show host. Also a great actor play as Paul Williams on Y&R. Doug has been on Y&R for the past 30 years. I salute you Doug Davidson.
Now we know that in the history of the "The Price is Right" modern era (since 1972, including spin-offs), there were TWO airplanes offered: the one seen here and the one from the Barker era back in the '70s. :-D
There's a full episode posted here on YouTube of someone who was in the same boat as you, they thought they hit the wrong range, but came to find out that they won.
I call that a super win Kelly

TPiR '94 was not great, but needed a better host like Vince McMahon, Mike Tenay, Pat Finn, Bob Backlund, Todd Newton, or...Donny Osmond.

What happened at the end of the showcase that caused that crazy edit?

Here's a question: doesn't the wizard look like the guardian of the gate of innovation from masters of the maze from jd roth?

Actually, two or three airplanes were offered on the Kennedy version, and at least one toward the end of the James version.

Kelly IS a total dork. I am related to her. But dorks make good lawyers.

Who cares if you're a dork! I'd say more of a nerd. Well guess that's the same thing! Congrats anyway!
