In the behind the scenes book written by musical director Stan Blits, among the did-you-know facts mentioned was "There was 1 airplane given away". I guess that's the thing that made this one unique. Do you remember, perchance, either the episode number or tapedate? The episode number would be something like "#00xxN", with the "xx" being a number from 01 to 80.

I can help you narrow it down -- the opening sequence for this episode (featuring pilot/daytime shots) was used for the first half of the run (01-40).

Wow! What a flashback. I'd forgotten about the show. That was too funny. I was about to look at your other videos when I noticed that funny looking guy near the end of the clip (5:38 mark). It was me. I'm the guy in the blue shirt and glasses. That was a fun memory. Thanks for posting it.

Now we know that in the history of the "The Price is Right" modern era (since 1972, including spin-offs), there were TWO airplanes offered: the one seen here and the one from the Barker era back in the '70s. :-D

Actually, two or three airplanes were offered on the Kennedy version, and at least one toward the end of the James version.
