  • Bravo, great idea, ahahah :)

    This is the original movie!

  • Genius! :)

  • Perfect.

  • Lawl much. Fantastic job.

  • I had to use this for my sound effect edit test for college, really good

  • Lol, I noticed that despite its old-fashioned appearance, you used footage from the remastered version. :) The planet explosion was more than a firecracker.

  • It`s great!!!

  • lol so cool!

  • Where can I find the music? And what is it called?

  • The ending allways gets me! :))))

    tumble tumble fall BOOM!

  • Fantastic!

  • And starring... Charlie Chaplin as Lord Vader!

  • Brilliant

  • can you explain me how did they do special effects for the lightsabers with the resources they had at that time? #fail

  • You need to make more "for fun" I'd watch the entire more like this! So as long as everyone has to dress up 20's style!

  • giggle :p

  • Love it!

  • hahahahahah lol

  • This video is absolutely great. Hall of Fame of modern silent films!!!

  • Эхххх тёлочки,тёлочки

  • that was great editing! thanxs for sharing :)

  • E tudo acaba em pizza

  • U'r good man. Keep editing !

  • that's adorable!

  • WOW!

  • WHY CAN'T THIS BE 1911'D

  • @ixcuincle Its already been 1911'd so wonderfully, google doesn't want to change it! lol

  • coooool

  • Funny!

  • nice job editing

  • very good.

  • My brain is going to explode from too much win.

  • You, sir, are a genious.

  • Amazing! Win.

  • Very very well made. Unfortunately it lacks the clasical written dialog in between the pictures. When Vaders says something it should become a black screen with the words in it. That woul have added a bit more. Maybe you could try that in a second version.

  • awesome nice job man! I'm gonna start making my own silent movie in digital media class next week which is gonna be awesome!

  • THIS...IS...BRILLIANT!!!!!!

  • AWEOSME

  • amazing! you did a really great job! love it!

  • whats the music called for this?

  • 309 people dislike pure hilarity, and will burn in hell for it...... maybe.

  • I bet people will shit their pants in that days... :)

  • I love the old timey computer generated effects they had back then.

  • wow...

  • Bloody good job :)

  • Internet WIN

  • As a fan of silent movies, especially the Charlie Chaplin sort, this is one of the best things I've see in a LONG time. It melded my favorite movies with an AWESOME genre of film making into PURE EPIC WIN!!!

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD AND THE FORCE MAKE MORE!!!

    ~Tal

  • This was not just the best thing I've ever seen, this was the best thing I have EVER EXPERIENCED.

  • Too bad there are no EXTREME closeups, complete with wide-opened mouths to represent fear, shock, or amazement. :)

  • :D:D:D

  • ...That was great..!!

  • Genius.

  • LOL @ Tusken Raider

  • great editing - music too! amazing job! add credits, we must know you people...

  • what song is this???

  • FUN-tastic! :)))

  • the amount of DERP in this clip made my head assplode! :))

  • This. Totally. ROCKED!!!!!!

  • Great stuff! I did a serious musical re-score of The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari on 'NeoKitsch' - but now that I've seen this, I'm inspired to do spoof silent cinema. Thanks for the great video!

  • I like that a lot, that's take a lot of heart , and i do like silent films , but as if in about 1927 for 1977 film and etc. over all great, if someone can make a a silent hill as a silent film that would be cool! or Star wars in Silent hill dark vader face the ghosts of silent hill!

  • It's perfect! Better than the re-hashed crap Lucas is crapping out.

  • I love that silent movies are pretty much exactly like this: just people running around to a silly, upbeat soundtrack.

  • So funny! plz make more!

  • Whoa. Best Star Wars Ever.

  • lmao so in sync

  • Top notch work! Well done!

  • we use the same song for our silnet movie!! great

  • FUNtastic! ;_D

  • My Comment is Deleted

  • A Long Time Ago in a Galaxy Far Far Away

  • Fantastic !!!!

  • Still better than the prequels.

  • great job hahahahaha

  • You are a fucking genius!

  • Haha this is very well processed as a matter of fact...

  • tu m'as fait bien rigoler merci bocou chapeau l'artiste!!!

  • I think with the same level of talent and effort, equally great Youtube videos could be made with "Silent Indiana Jones" or "Silent James Bond".

  • Now that was cool !!!!

  • I Love aLl silent movies

  • nicely edited

  • B and W

  • Who disliked this?!

  • great movie from charlie chaplin

  • this takes you back to the good "old" times. very nice!!

  • You are a F* Genius, mate! :-)

  • LMAO

  • Very nicely made, my compliments!!!!

  • awesome!

  • nice

  • fantastic when drunk

  • @ironmantwoo not really

  • Fucking genius, dude! My new idol... momentarily...

  • Brilliant! Do another!

  • This was the first ever vid i favorited on youtube. And even after all those years it still can make me cry from laughter :-))

  • This makes me laugh every time!

  • That's funny. They should have added an old timey bicycle in there for extra measure.

  • This is just too good. The fuzzy and too-fast black and white film plus the rinky-tink piano make this seem so old.

I like the punctuations in the music, which come as something explodes or falls.

  • Very nice timing!

  • God I love old timey music! That was brilliant.

  • 0:43 to 0:47 - fucking brilliant!

  • hahahahaha 1:01 - 1:03

  • Hahahahahaha, very funny!!!!

  • Excellent. The speed makes this sooo funny :D

    lol @ 0:43 - 0:48

  • LOL! Hilarious!

  • AWESOME !!!

in wich program have you done the intro ?

    WMM ?

  • BRILLIANT !!!

  • i've heard this song in so many silent film chases. could someone tell me the title and the composer?

  • Being hostile doesn't prove your worth to society, champ

  • Did you make this for FHHS broadcasting class?

  • lol yeah a film both hubby and I can watch...he's the starwars fan and I'm the silent era lover lol. Great job!!!

  • what is this amazing song??

  • @studmuffinify Star Wars theme by John Williams... obviously

  • Hahahahahaha. Excellent!

  • Bravo , excelentissime !!!

  • A lotta fun!

  • Great gamda neeeeeeek

  • That is one of the most spectacular star wars things i've ever seen! :D

  • EXCELENT!!!

  • Can you imagine if people actually got to see this in the 1920's? They'd shit their pants.....

  • @pogonaut220 There was Flash Gordon.

  • @pogonaut220 Well, when the Lon Chaney Phantom of the Opera film was released in 1925 and Lon's appropriately disgusting makeup look was revealed, movie theaters reported women fainting...so yeah, I can imagine Darth Vader putting a lump in a few people's throats...:P

  • Does anybody know the name of the music played in this vid?

  • It appears to be an amalgamation of different 'classic' silent movie pieces. I recognise the last sequence as coming from a soundtrack tape I had in the early 90s when I edited 8mm. Happy youth...

Anyway, can't be much help other than to say the last piece is almost certainly copyright free and therefore easily discoverable.

  • you know this was actually linked on twitter with a tag about a war between jobro fans. i wanted to know what was going on, but this was so much more awesome :D

imagine the music playing in the background...yeah...great video

  • This made me smile so much :D

  • Fabulous

  • SUPER!!!!

  • Omg i love this so funny!

  • haha this is great!

  • fantastic!

  • This is hilariously good. God, imagine if someone had made star wars in the silent era, they would have beed worshipped as a God, or burned as a witch XD

  • At the time imperialism was viewed in a very different light, Star Wars would have serious structural issues. Perhaps it would have been viewed in the reverse.

Besides that, Star Wars was more or less entirely constructed from decades worth of science fiction, adventure, films, and adventure serials. It's unlikely that it could have been comprehensible without the preexistence of all the stuff that Lucas ripped off.

  • Yeah, that's true, good point!

  • @boyoehackenslash

Actually, someone DID make Star Wars pretty close to the silent era, only it was called Flash Gordon.

  • @Perlinator67 That's true

  • Haha, well done! Very funny and original :-)

  • 'original' is a funny choice of word to use here, lol

  • sta poca madre, quien lo realizo sa saca un 10

  • Ah man. My two loves have finally united: Star Wars and silent cinema.

  • Awesome, vid looks great !!

  • Brilliant ! I love 0'22 !!!

  • you did a good job on that , that is what it was like back in 1890 cinema

  • Hilarious!!!

  • LOL.

    That was awesome. xD;

  • this video always makes me laugh whenever I watch it!

  • Total Youtube win

  • Nice

  • I always wondered what they would think of Star Wars back in 1915.

  • AWESOME JOB ON THIS!

  • Little does anyone know that George Lucas actually got the idea for Star Wars from a 1932 silent film...

  • What was the silent film?

  • lmao awesome work dude. This and Full Metal StarWars are my fav clips :)

  • nil
