where my uncle works it's like that:

you can wear jeans only on so called "relaxed friday".

you can have the maximum of 4 earrings (this includes other piercings as well) and max.3 on one ear.

you can only have one visible tattoo, otherwise you have to cover them up with makeup.

and i'm not just making this up, they actually have all this written down and get fired if they don't obey the rules.

at school we're allowed red, blue, purple, orange, pink, yellow (not blonde, i mean yellow), white, coloured highlights, natural colours (such as blonde, dark brown) even if your hair was the complete opposite shade before hand and high/low lights that look out of place..... but not green >->

Before they changed the rules, our school used to have this rule where girls had to wear skirts all the time, even in winter. Then, when they changed the uniform because girls were cutting their skirts too short (there was a specific set length), parents complained! I swear, this whole area is barmy.

in my school you were not allowed to where nail polish, or designer clothing, unless of course you were rich. If you were rich, you did not have to follow any rules and teacher ignored everything you did so that the rich kids would keep coming to school and paying tuition.
