I listened to songs of Sergio Mendes @ Blue Note Tokyo. They were young on this video clip^^;. Mais Que Nada is only song I can sing in Portuguese. I remolized the lyrics before live(good audience^^), the crowd sang & really enjoyed this song!

Janis Hansen (the taller girl on the right, thanks to 'siroptomistic') is credited with being the voice on the track, 'The Look of Love' on the Brasil '66 album, which hit the charts six months after she left the group!

Janis Hansen sang vocals on the first three SM&B66 albums from 1966-1968. Her voice has the slightly higher pitch compared to Lani Hall's voice. Hansen actually does the lead vocals on some of the more popular early songs, such as "Going Out of My Head", "For Me", "The Look of Love", and "So Many Stars". For some odd reason, Hansen doesn't receive the recognition that she truly deserves.

They're probably older than that! They have great voices and I just wanted to know who they were. I know they were both American and didn't speak any Portuguese at trhe time and learned the songs phonetically. One of them is called Lani Hall. Don't know which one though!

I always breakout into a big smile when I watch this re-mix video. The original "Mas Que Nada" by SM&B66 is a classic ---it is sweet and pure. But this remix is very cool and fun, and it combines some of the pure elements of the original. Enjoy it.
