  • Hi. When I try to rig my model to the original ped i had one problem. The model's pose isnt the same as the ped's. So do you have any solutions on how to solve this? I can give you a snapshot through PM if you're curious.....

  • i rigged a model, but when i add the textures to the model in game they appear on the inside of the model for some reason. so when you look at the gut at a front view ,all you can see is his back textures from inside the model.

    How can i fix this

  • @emskiimasorong seem all faces of the model are reversed..you can flip it..go to editable mesh, select all faces, then click "flip"

  • @Toonboyii You could try adjusting the bones, and if that doesnt work, I guess you'll have to adjust your model :S

  • im a professional at rigging models but i have one more issue that i cant find answers for it.

    how do you scale up the model, actually i know that but when i scale up for example its 1 and i scale it to 3 but when i play with characters in game his legs are under the ground but not on the surface.

    it is also an issue when i scale down you see tha character float or he walk in te air.

    please if you got an answer please tell me i have to know it

  • @RezarTheOne Yes, but is a totally diferent process. About cinematics I don't know how.

  • @funkster505 With TXD Workshop. You of course need to texture the model before, and the texture must be disible by 2 like 512x512 or 1024x1024

    or can I just use TXD Workshop with any image that is divisible by 512x512?

  • @funkster505 You'll need to texture the model in 3ds max (look for tutorials in google) and then with TXD Workshop convert the image to TXD

  • I must to press the IFP IO button to rigg, cuz that button is for Animation and i don't know if the skin will work in SA-MP if i rig it, so tell me i must press IFP IO button?

  • @boschete15 I don't understand, this is for rigging a character, making an animation is a whole other process.

  • Did you forget something? I've done all the steps repeatedly, and the bones will NOT attach to my model.

  • @NoBoDy9505 That's a 100 times easier, I don't know exactly but I think you need to import the .dff from the SA gun and then import yours, after that rezise your weapon to be the in scale with the SA weapon, then I think you need to edit your weps pivot, but I don't remembar that quite well. And then of course export.

  • @9Lokk I did the guy.3ds, about doing, you should search a tutorial for "box modeling".

  • When you are going to export it, select the model and then export it (Click model, export)

  • Weapons don't need to be rigged. Just rezise them and export them. While exporting make sure to press "Export DFF" instead of "Bones/Skin Export"

  • I think you're doing mistake in somewhere. Otherwise i did right by this tutorial & i got 100% result & my rigged character is working fine like this tutorial (but without texture. lolz). Just check where is the mistake. Otherwise it should be export.

  • I guess you are aking about GTA SA models, well you can extract them frm gta3.img with a IMG Editor

  • I don't know what your problem might be, the process is the same than in max 9.

  • there is a way but you need to cut your mesh in pieces LIKE THE HEAD is rigged to CJ's head its a lot of work ^^

  • Nice tutorial, but I have 1 question. I want to take body from the fbi and head from heck1. I understand how to attach head model to body model, but I don't understand how can I export textures so they would be in 1 txd file? Hope you could understand me :D

  • For that I use TXD Workshop, you have to add the head texture to the body .txd file.

  • wow great tutorial thnx mate only a couple of questions... did you have to apply a texture to the model in 3ds max to export it? and also you can do this for gta vc models this way too?

  • if the model is already textured, it's not nesesary to apply the texture and when you put it into gta3.img you have to put the texture too. Yes it works for GTA VC too
