As far as this being a "home defense weapon" I don't think the cops would look favorably on you blinding a burglar, in the name of self-defense...(and you would probably have to hit him in the eyes to stop him--I don't think he would be mesmerized by the cool green light on his chest and turn tail and scram!!) You would probably be charged with something like "unlawful use of a dangerous weapon"...
my god that is bright and almost everey camera dims the laser by 25 percent !!!!!

I guess it could possibly be used as a non-lethal home defense weapon, the last thing a burglar would ever see is a blinding green light.. :P
