Let me say this....I have over 20 years in the martial arts and was taught that respect and humility is the essence of growth. What I see is much ego and judgement. Call me jaded because I am Sensei Mo's student, but I am his top student, so I have earned my opinion. You cannot know a system until you have spend a good amount of time in it. Most masters don't reveal to you until you've proven your worth as a student. After 20+ years, I've seen a lot and I still have the utmost faith in my system

Well the point is they are talking a big game and saying and promoting karate vs kung fu event, so i doubt if that is what we will see, as karate and kung fu men they might have some credibility but not in mma where they would be amateur rank beginners. If this fight is mma its going to be a sad mess not worth 10cents. I see constant pakua, hsing i drills but there is nobody training hard enough to sustain a 3 minute round even in regular boxing.

2) bennet not only won the middle title but in 1 fight he knocked a guy out cold with a traditional "ball of the foot" roundhouse kick to the temple. making it more dynamic, he kiaid before he threw the kick! in the same contast, great goju fighter Fred Miller fought full-contact from his famous cat stance!! he never left the stance and won the lightheavy title. I concur with your perspective about staying with your style. But what makes you think Sensei Mo and Novell will not stay within they style. I sure both these men plan to use they styles in the cage. I personally watch Novell spar boxers as well mma guys and he look like he was doing kung Fu too me. I train with Sensei mo years ago and he spar using karate I just was not feeling his style, but dont take away from what the Man knows.

1974 at fred hamiltton's full-contact bare knuckle "everything goes" tournament only 21 people showed up and 11 were from Karriem AbdAllah's KA system. i am proud to say that i am one of his students who at 48 am still very much active in the contact karate arena. in that tournament ka fighter happy robot crump fought full-contact bareknuckle and never left his style winning the lightweight title. in that same contest, shihan Errol Bennet won the middle title from his traditional shotokan stance

I dont speak for Novell, But I know him and I sure he be able to handle whatever Mo try to bring to the cage that day. .I saw the first clip with Mo trash talking a too so nothing wrong with a little fight hype. I train under Mo a few years ago I was not astound with what he was teaching

Sensei Mo will put up two new videos in the next few days. One will be about fitness training with his team and the other will be self defense demos.

It seems his opponent Novell Bell knows how Sensei Mo will bring it - so Sensei Mo's main purpose is adding content that will educate visitors and to keep Martial Arts respected.

For him a lot of trash talking is not necessary. The fight is in the Ring - not against Martial Arts Styles.

I hang out with Sensei mo a few times he a good brother, but him being a cool brother will not change the fact that come DEC 18 he will to be trying to hurt me in the cage and thats just something I will utilize my martial art skills not to allow. I do agree that it should be more clips showing the art, is why for now on I plan to show viewers in my upcoming videos some of the real insight into BaGuaZhang Training as well other kung fu methods that can be very effective for fighting in a cage.
