great review! It seems like you use your phone like crazy and the battery isnt good, but for me personally i pretty much just use my phone for music and texting so if i got this phone with the 2000 mah extended battery would it atleast last me the day say from 9am to 9 at night?? thats really all i need since i charge my phone every night

@PittsburghArab Thank you! Yes I am a powerhouse user. The battery is fine, just not got heavy users. If all you do is play music occasionally, text, and make phone calls you should last like 8 hours. You have to factor in 4G if you are in 4G area and the 4G radio is on and you have multiple e-mail accounts linked, tweeter, Facebook, tumbler, weather applications then that will drain battery life. So, factor in those applications and 4G. By the way the extended battery is 2100mAh not 2000.

Is it possible to switch to the next/previous song without entering your passcode or swiping the screen to unlock it? The iPhone has the feature to double tap on the home button and you can change your song. Also, is it possible to add lyrics to every individual song? If so, how?

@dankapa Yes they have music controls on the lock screen. You don't have to do anything but turn the screen on and turn it back on. Then you will see the controls. As, for the lyrics I don't see an option for that so far.

great review man lot of negatives though im going for an upgrade on the 26 thats when the maxx comes out verizon confirmed it today but i am beyond torn between this an the nexus any idears?? love motorolas build quality but hate how you cant really over clock them or anything and the nexus you can do more with

Easier said then done you know as well as I that the thunderbolt is trash and I don't know how much longer I can deal with this. The luxury I have is two upgrades one on my account at the end of the year and one on my wifes that I can use now. Right now I'm torn between razr maxx, Droid 4, gnex, and the possible Samsung journal. Though a large phone its an s2 product

Yeah I am waiting for that one but I'm not a huge fan of "motor-blur" and I prefer a stock experience but I'm disappointed with the camera on the g-nex, the performance when using a live wall paper, the fact that previous features of android are non-existent and the build quality.

@krucial85 Just root it and you'll be fine, also yes the camera is crap on the Nexus and the build quality, but a case will take care of that. I say just WAIT for another phone to launch with Verizon. Soon they will release the Tegra 3 processors in phone so wait until then.

So should I buy this phone or what man. I'm still rocking the tbolt because I'm apprehensive about what phone to get. Don't wanna be stuck for a year with a phone I won't love. Most people recommend the razr, surprisingly over this and the rezound. Oh and try contactapps for Facebook integration for contacts.

@krucial85 This is a good phone the Razr is nice...if you like the Razr wait until the Razr Maxx it will have more battery life. The Rezound is nice, but it's very thick.

Nexus is looking pretty good, but i passed given the signal issues/bugs that came with it and went with the rezound. Couldn't be happier. The only thing that could get me to upgrade in the next year is a phone with better battery technology. I know you and your 8 batteries could use it too
