ask for air filter oil, buy the kind thats not advertised to be water soluble.
go home, soak a little sponge and rub it all around your rim. done, now you have brakes that work like a on/off switch, and it lasts x100 more than tar on your rim.
a bottle of it will last you many, many days of riding.
awesome vid, great tutorial and explanation, i can now grind my rim with some knowledge, learning pedal ups and find i slip smooth rim no grind yet brand new bike.
i always put wheel without tire in truing stand. then I grind the rim while it is spinning.. that insures I remove minimal material and maintain constand rim width..
And I don't want grinding dust to get between rim, tube, tire.

an easy alternative:
go to a dirt bike shop
ask for air filter oil, buy the kind thats not advertised to be water soluble.
go home, soak a little sponge and rub it all around your rim. done, now you have brakes that work like a on/off switch, and it lasts x100 more than tar on your rim.

Be sure to hit your rim with a brush to get all of the metal shavings out of the crevices, and of your pads and chain. Great vid! Get your grind on.
