I think he just forgot to get gas.  You can't build an extractor like that early then not utilize it, it's a waste of minerals otherwise. He either built it then decided to change his build order (stupidly) or just forgot about it, probably due to inexperience.

Making the scourge was probably an accident. It's easy to screw up: click on your hatchery, click s to select larva, and if you press s again by accident, you have scourge. I do this myself occasionally, but of course my Zerg is terrible...

yeh probably. a player gets impatient with having to click the "s" button repeatedly and accidentaly over clicks... hapens to amateur zergs alot
