No, this is (I think) an attempt to turn it (and numerous other songs) into stereo. I used to collect different versions of this song. Here's how to tell: (1) the original sounds more like it's being sung than the later version; (2) the original is at least one key higher, which makes the ocarina sound flat (the ocarina only plays in one key so they lowered the song to match the ocarina); (3) the later versions have better singing and playing: when they did the original they were just kids.
