I can't even tell you how much I love the hug at 3:25 , it made me scream "YES!" the first time I saw it, because I had been waiting for it since Doomsday!!!! All the companions are great (Well, I didn't really like Mickey, but Jack., Donna, and Martha were awesome), but Rose holds a special place in my heart =D

@CrazyGood88 I think the better thing to say about Martha is that she made him a better person after he became worse upon losing Rose and she helped him to see there was still things worth living for. I agree though all three women were awesome and wonderful companions and all helped him a great deal.

This is very well done. But the problem with Doctor Who lately is that its being written solely for the benefit of the "shipers" at the expense of decent stories. Tennant's whole era was ruined by his constant teenage pining for Rose....Donna was the only decent companion who "died". But since its Russell T. Davies writing now, Donna's "death" will be undone in Tennant's finale. Don't get me wrong, I love Tennant as Doc 10, but the writing on this show sucks compared to the old days.

I don't think you can really compare the writing for one doc to another. The way I see it in order for a show to run as long as Doctor Who has it needs to constantly evolve. The writers gave themselves the perfect tool for that (the doctors regeneration) with each regen the show has a chance to reach a new and/or changing demographic. At times in Tennant's run as doctor the relations did get annoying (martha) along with 10's constant reminding that he is "alone". But it is unique within the show

Thank you! The scene is from New Earth, the first episode of the Series 2. When Cassandra comes out of Rose, Rose is a little disoriented and falls, the Doctor catches her and helps her regain her balance. Very cute moment!
