lol and this is why i have a Jeep and not a shitty 2WD car. I drove through 3 feet of snow in my niehborhood this year i was the only one to get out and my jeep is stock..
Ok is it just me...why didnt they drive forward and have like the 5 ppl there push......at least try that before trying to pull it backwards through 4 feet of snow
this is a Geo, and the tow hooks arent attached to the frame. This is yet another wonderful GM creation. No wonder theyre going out of business. They cant build cars worth shit. And engineer stupid shit like this. Japanese car manufatures would never be this STUPID.
What a bunch of dumb-asses. They should have just grabbed a couple shovels and dug the damn car out. Ive dug cars out of deeper snow than that before.
Wow ... what incredible idiots. There were at least four or five guys in this video ... all of whom could have easily shoveled out the snow (borrow a shovel from one or two of the owners houses) from around the car and then manually "pushed" the little car out of the tiny snow bank. I mean they are in a "driveway" for crying out loud!
I lived and drove the roads in America and this is pretty typical of how stupid the people when it comes to winter driving.
Yes these guys hooked up at the frame of the car, or the lamps wouldn't have flown away, they pulled out the complete rear end metall...
For me in 2.14 it seems like they ripped of bumper with a metal reinforcement not the whole end of the car. I once got stucked in a mud and when a tractor pulled the car out a 3,5t roap snapped so we used some crazy 1,5 inch steel cable but in no moment nothing ripped of the car.
Usually you want to connect the rope to a hole in the frame up front, or around the rear axle (assuming you have a jack to get under it and therer's level ground to lift it) But what do you do if you cant find a hole or you don't have a jack?
What did you guys connect it to? Just curious. Because when it snows here winter is usually bad and I usually get a call at work from a friend that slid off the road or cant get up a hill and needs a ride home. I got a towing rope now so hopefully if they're just stuck I can pull them out.
You can hook up the line correctly and it'll still rip off the bumper. I don't know the physics of it, but I ripped off my friend's bumper pretty easily and it was hooked on right. The fact is, if you have a shitty plastic bumper, it can get ripped off.
lol, American cars..

MistaBreed, your comment "dont use a small jap car and a big american truck" yea...
1) that is a geo metro (american car)
2) that is a NISSAN frontier (japanese truck)
stop being an idiot.

They easily pulled the car on the snow, but then...
If they were towing to the left and stearing to the left with that pulled car, I think nothing would be happened, but...
I don't have words...

MrJack2011 3 years ago
Yes, someone who knows what can happen...
And it was hooked up right, there is only one hook to attach...
But the power of american pick up is unfortanetly too much for this little japanese car, they only use very thin metal, about 1,5mm, its awesome...
Have you ever tried to build up a jap car after a crash???
Try it...
