I saw this band in 1984 in Nice, France.. they rocked my socks off.. then they go to the other extreme with ballads such as this, and 'still loving you' .. what a wide range these guys have... I wish we could go back to the mid 80's.. it is funny how in europe they use the word 'holiday' as we would say vacation in the U.S... rock on scorpions!!

I was 13 in 1985. Got world wide live on cassette the day it came out. Ordered the world wide live Video from the little insert inside the case. Got it two weeks later. Thought life couldn't get any better. The next year, i got laid for the first time ( summer 86 ) while Lovedrive was playing in the background. Two years later i see the Scorpions live for the first time. 1990 i see them 3 live times....many shows since. They were the soundtrack to my YOUTH !

I miss the days when every month somebody like The Scorpions, Y&T, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Dokken, Krokus, Ozzy, etc, were in town. If you werent at least 13 in 1980, you dont even know what you missed.

There will never be another time like that. Everything was happening all at once. Disco was fading out, classic rock was hanging on, new wave, punk, metal, and rap were all taking flight...

I hate that its gone forever.....

@06ruiz Yeah that was a fun time (was 15 in 1980). Remember going to see Y&T at the Roxy Theater in Hollywood (Black Tiger Tour). Such a blast. Or Girlschool (Screaming Blue Murder, Iron Maiden (Number of the Beast) and Scorpions (Blackout) at Long Beach Arena in 1982. What a great senior year.

I think its cool how people from all around the world love the Scorpions. they started in Europe and were loved instantly there. they toured in east Asia and the Japanese went ballistic for them. then of course they came to North America and the rest was history. Theyve rocked across the entire globe and melted the faces and hearts of people from all continents of the globe. Their Amazonian Live show is amazing, you can tell the apprecaition South America has for them. Who cant love them?
