@chowner It hit the crossbar which makes it a dead ball I think. Even if that's not true, it's an extra point try only the team on offense can score on an extra point.
@cookieboy17 I'm not 100% sure about the ball being dead when it hits the cross bar. This may very on a field goal attempt vs a pass but on a pass its a live ball (or at least it was ruled that way in a game this year) However you are wrong about only the offense can score on an extra point. In college football the ball can be returned by the defense for 2 points.
@robbiewynn13 It would if they made it a bit more difficult...they should narrow the goalposts and make them kick from the hash mark rather than dead center.
@cuntylishus Why make it more difficult? How often do you make rules only to make another positions job harder? Say perhaps we told the cb's they have to give the receiver a five yard berth at all times. It just doesn't make sense.
