  • Isn´t birch too weak for flutemaking? European flutes are everytime made of harder types of woods, like elder tree, ash, maple, pear, cherry....

  • @halusky65 Birch is a hardwood. It's not weak at all. That fact makes these flutes an excellent choice for backpacking trips. The High Spirits that are made of birch include the Merlin in C minor in this video as well as the Whitetail Hawk B minor and the Kestrel series (D minor, E minor, F# minor). All are quite rugged flutes.

  • I cant stop watching this! This is beautiful!

  • i remember in 3rd grade my music teacher tried to teach us how to play this song on a recorder. She taught us the notes and everything, but i couldnt get past the first part. Hehe. I was kinda disappointed cuz i loved the song and i wanted to hear myself play it. i still like this song after 4 years

  • This is so beautiful...I am Korean born and would like to find out how to get NAF tabs for this song. Would you be able to help me?

  • im korean

  • That's like recorder.

  • The Native American flute IS a lot lke a recorder, but the scale is different. Recorders are diatonic, and most NA flutes are pentatonic. As you can see, I have a lot of fun playing mine!

  • I played that with my high school wind ensemble two years ago for a children's concert. We played the entire "Korean Folk Songs" suite. It was amazing!

  • hello my dear friend,

    can u play that fully?

it looks like the famous 'Titanic song my heart go on 'is copied from this tune.Or r u copied this tune from there?

  • I don't find it similar to the Titanic song. Maybe a few pitches are similar, but other than that not really. The suite of music was made far before the movie Titanic came out with Celine Dion's hit, "My Heart Will Go On".

  • @vnn444 no this tune is korean folk song from many many centuries ago

  • @vnn444 lol its an old korean song..

  • I played when I was in Middle School in Georgia. It was one of the best. The best part was the flutes of course.
