  • This is the real Nashville . Hands down

  • Ya make me wanna move to Nashville and work for ChaCha.

  • This really tells the story.

I go to house shows all the time because they are more inviting to me than a club. It feels more like a community event that is fun, unlike a bar where it's often way too loud, smokey even, and not intimate.

  • well done, man. people often forget about this vital part of our thriving music scene.

i'm glad you took the time to shine a light on the forgotten underbelly of rock n roll in this city.

  • way to go casio! this truly is the flipside of nashville way to capture it!!!

  • "Precinct was pretty cool for a while..."

Haha. Now I want to know what went with wrong with the Precinct.

  • There is a disparity of places that young people go to express themselves. It seems only natural that they would find some way to be creative. good job for showing us that they have!!

  • it's true - there's much more energy at house shows than at venues. it's a completely different experience.

  • i remember being underage in nashville. and the house shows. especially places like the acklen house basement.

  • Great look into the house party scene! It's such an integral part of local music.

  • house shows can be quite fun and in some cases have better notoriety than some of the local venues. this provides an interesting perspective into a facet of the music scene that is often overlooked in nashville.

  • Exactly!!!

  • oooh.. He said, "demographic" and "acclimated"...

  • nice video.

  • Great video, brings up a good point that you don't think about if you've never lived in Nashville as an underager.

  • brilliant! nashville is such a 21+ city - it's awesome to see the younger crowd doing it for themselves. flipside indeed.

  • shit yeah, there needs to be more 18 and under shows

  • Awesome! This is the REAL flipside of Nashville!

  • Hey, about time someone focused on this kinda thing.

M'boro has a similar, if much smaller, network of "show" houses, and there are several bands I can think of off-hand that won't play anywhere else. It's not just an "I can't get a show anywhere else" sort of attitude.
