As a Rockets fan and overall NBA fan, you really can't help but to feel great about Shaq winning his first NBA Championship. I had just graduated from high school, and I was rooting for Shaq to finally win it here.

Although there was a part of me that wanted to see the Pacers win it, I was very glad to see Shaq and the Lakers win it.

67-15 record, 19 game win streak, Shaq MVP, All Star MVP, and Finals MVP.

I still can't believe this was 12 years ago.

@FunnyStunts123 well, they did win & congrats to the Lakers on winning last year. But it was Artest & Fisher who hit the big 3's down the stretch. Oh & in 2009 Derek Fisher once again saved the Lakers in Game 4 against Orlando. Oh & from 1997-2004, Kobe was Shaq's sidekick. Jordan was the one making the big shots in the playoffs. Kobe did make the one in 2006 against the Suns, but they choked that series away.
