  • How about she just has a nice crotch and ass?

    There, that settles everything.

  • Lovely example of this vault :-)

  • 2011 vault champion :D

  • wow!

  • 2 dislikes from Nabieva and Mustafina.

  • She is definitely training the Cheng and is planning on doing it next year!! She is also hoping she will be able to do a triple!! Now that would be awesome!!

  • simply AMAZING!!

  • how many of all the people commenting on this video come close to this vault? why not stop throwing insults back and forth and enjoy gymnastics. some people prefer the russians, some the US, some another country. Don't waste energy on pointless fights here. That's a mighty good Amanar. And she happens to be american, good for her. Now bring that to London 2012 and put it against the rest of the gymnastic power vaulters.

  • she just did it !!!! wowwwww

  • does anyone know if she is working on throwing a tripple. Out of all the amanars I think she is really the only gymnast ready to add another twist. At least add another twist and actually make it nice.

  • @MrRose143mg she's revealed in some interviews that she has tried a triple twist. i think she can do it, it's just not competition ready...considering her age though (15!) and that she's been doing the amanar cleanly for 2 years in competition already...we might see it soon!

  • DAMN!!!

  • i love the song i have it on my ipod!

  • She is so gorgeous and does it like a pro.

  • Check out the judges faces! wooooo! That's what you call a perfect 10.0!

  • @pretzal702 there's no perfect 10 in gymnastics anymore. hasn't been since 2004.

  • Check out the judges faces! wooooo!

  • luv watching this stuff it issssssssss so adictive but at the same time being a gymnast it makes u feel sooooooo bad

  • Okay, she needs to add some more twists! That looked soooo easy for her! Well done!

  • I am so freaking obsessed with this vault <3

  • I hear she is injured..will she compete at VISA this year?

  • @LCAmarkymark Nah, she's competing. I was in juniors, but I think I saw her in senior warm ups today.

  • @free2write26 great I saw the video online today..thats awesome..good for her.

  • Amazing! I think that doing a Amanar just makes you so amazing even if your form is bad, you aren't dead center, or take a hop/step. I think even attempting it is amazing because the vault is soo hard (the second hardest in the world), only a few people can do it, so have some respect for the Russians or anyone else who preforms it because it it soo hard and no one can do it perfectly! Anyway McKayla has done the best one i've seen so far :)

  • @GymnasticsFan1144 just curious - you say 2nd hardest, so what's the hardest?

  • @tiashe1 The hardest is the Handspring Double Front or Produnova, it has a difficulty of 7.1. North Korean Gymnast Choe Jong Si attempted it in the 1980 Olympics and Russian Elena Produnova has successfully competed it before. No one else has done it, well only in men's gymnastics :)

  • Best Amanar I've ever seen. Good form, clean landing, good height and distance. I hope to see her at Worlds this year.

  • FABULOUS Amanar! But Jordyn Wieber at the 2011 Tyson American Cup did a great Amanor too so check it out c=

  • did she get a perfect score

  • @markoth97 Landing dead center means nothing if your execution is terrible in every other aspect. Besides, Maroney has landed dead center on the vault numerous times.

  • @markoth97 okay what you said is true but if you look at the amanars from the united states (mckayla's, lexie's and jordyn's) and the ones from Russia (nabieva, mustafina and komovas) you will see that objectively (without judging what country they are from) mckayla's, lexie's and jordyn's are all much cleaner and recieve higher execution scores. they always complete all 2 1/2 twists, their legs are glued straight and tight together and generally land close to the middle of the mat. :)

  • @cosmicorinne Yes i know those girls have legs glued together, but really saying things like ''Russia's vault's sucks'' just because of they're form is really unfair and as i said, its not okay to bash other countries just because of that. And thank you for agreeing with me..even though you did not completely agree...its still something, and im glad theres someone who gets what i mean..

  • @cosmicorinne i agree russia has sploppy form on vault hence mustafina hurting her knee

  • @cosmicorinne Maybe we if we gave them some of their coaches back they'd have better luck. Seems like all of the great Soviet gymnasts are now coaches here in the US.

  • @cosmicorinne Nabieva's is atrocious!

  • @cosmicorinne Don't put Komova's Amanar in the same bag than Nabs or Musty. Komova is much cleaner and her technique is much better than Jordyn's for instance. A good amanar doesn't depend on legs form only. They have a better block, better height (except for Maroney who has a really amazing technique), better power, better distance and like markoth97 said, they land straight in the center of the mat. So for some people like Borabora, don't be too quick criticizing the russians

  • @markoth97 Russians girls have HORRIBLE technique on vault. Might I remind you that one of their girls lost a vault medal at 2010 worlds because she didn't get her vault all the way around? Or that Musty injured herself on vault because of her poor technique?

  • @BoraBoraGirl2001 Cause from what I read, you don't know that much about gymnastics to say that the russians have horrible technique. 2 of them just have horrible forms. That's a fact. Otherwise Russia had good vaulters (not perfect one, I admit) like Komova, Pavlova, Demy has a decent vault as well. Plus Musty did not get injured because of her "poor" technique. Actually with the height and power she has, she should not have got injured. That's just bad luck.

  • @BoraBoraGirl2001 Indeed, her knee was more fragile because of all her incomplete tripple twist of beam (pretty much like Pavlova's injury) and one bad landing was enough to tear the ACL. This has nothing to do with her technique, neither her form (since you don't look like you can make a difference between those two words). A piece of advice for you, check your facts before posting here and pretend like you know everything. You're far from it ;)

  • @Missnewyork28 And you're an expert??? LOL. Get over yourself and your blind devotion to all things Russian. The form and height of McKayla Maroney's Amanar far surpasses anyone on the Russian team.

  • @BoraBoraGirl2001OMG are you so arrogant that you can't even accept that you are wrong ? And at least, try to learn something from someone else ? GET OVER YOURSELF. I know Maroney has the best Amanar nowadays, i'mm well aware of it, and like I said in my comment, she has great height, power, block and form. Much better than any russian Amanar. But she is the only one to have a better TECHNIQUE (check wherever you want what that word mean...please. Because leg seps, bent knees..

  • @Missnewyork28 LOL....are you serious??? Are you so arrogant that you assume you're right??? What makes you the world's expert on gymnastics? Get a grip. As far as "getting over yourself," take a look in the mirror.

  • @BoraBoraGirl2001 Maybe because I got those informations from people who actually know about gymnastics. Maye because they are plenty to think so. Maybe because it actually makes sense. And maybe becayse being sure of one thing does not mae you an expert either. Grew up, please, don't make a fool of yourself, it's embarassing enough for you?

  • @Missnewyork28 LOL. Suuuure you did. You just keep telling yourself that!! You are the one who is embarrassing yourself, not me. I've never pretended to be an expert, just a person with an opinion. You're the one pretending your some kind of gymnastics genius. Grow up and get a life, kid.

  • @BoraBoraGirl2001 Aha you are so funny. You come here to say that the russians have an horrible technique ? What are your argument ? Do you have actual facts ? Examples, proves ? Whatever to support your post ? Nope I haven't seen anything so far. Why ? Becausr you are too childish to have an argument with someone. I brought facts, examples, to support what i said, and still you're acting like a 4 year old kid. I don't pretend to be an expert, I'm just not as ignorant as you.

  • @Missnewyork28 Russians do have horrible technique on vault. That's not an opinion, it's a fact. They are bound to get injured. I'm not the first or the last to say that, either. The sad thing is, you are criticizing me, when you are the one that is ranting and raving and freaking out.

  • @BoraBoraGirl2001 Ok then explain to me why the russians have a horrible technique on vault. I'm curious to know why. And if you consider it's a fact, don't try to justify your behavior by saying you were just giving an opinion. I'm glad you feel confident because people have the same "opinion" about the russians, I hope they have some facts to support what they think, though because if it's like you, it's absolutely pointless.

  • @BoraBoraGirl2001 There is nothing interesting in saying "russians have horrible technique on vault' just because you read it somewhere and without giving explanations if someone wants to know why. It's almost ridiculous actually. Anyway, it won't change the fact that technically, the russians are among the best. Their form is not though but still good. I don't know why I'm saying that since you can't make the difference between the two...oh boy, that's an endless conversation

  • @BoraBoraGirl2001 You don't have an opinion. Saying that the russians have an horrible technique is not an opinion, it is, for you (since I proved it was not correct), a fact. You don't seem to know what's an opinion either. An opinion is not based on facts, but on preference for instance. To be honest, I really have issue with people who criticize without even knowing what they talk about, like you. That doesn't men I pretend to be an expert. LOL.

  • @Missnewyork28 And also, how is it possible to "grew up?" I don't think I can go back in time, and besides, I'm already grown up. Thanks though.

  • @Missnewyork28 LOL! Seriously, what makes you the world's expert on gymnastics? Nothing.

  • @BoraBoraGirl2001 are form issues. Not Bad technique). And it did not cause Musty's injury either. So until you show me some facts...

  • THAT's how you do an Amanar, Russia.

  • Wow! Very impressive!!!^^

  • what gym is she from?

  • @Icy6222 in 2005 she moved to Gym-Max and then moved to AOGC in the spring of 2010. I think they did a lot for her there. :))

  • shes training a TTY and her coach says that shes also training a 3 1/2 twisting yurchenko!

  • @CassidyMcComb2010 I wish she'd slow down some-I don't want her risking injury before she gets her Senior career going. She already has an awesome Amanar, I think that's more than enough for the moment. Jmo.

  • @CassidyMcComb2010 3 1/2? not happening

  • @CassidyMcComb2010

3 1/2!?!?! even the man can't do that (as far as i know)

    but her Amanar is perfect!

  • @MrJST94 even Uchimura is stuck at 3/3;) for more we're gonna have to wait the next generation

  • @CassidyMcComb2010 is that even in the code of points?? ive never seen someone do either!!

  • @CassidyMcComb2010 awesome

  • I think it was a stick just she went up on her toes and heels back up. Also, it looks like her left ankle wobbled, giving the illusion she moved her foot.

  • I think it was a stick just she went up on her toes and heels back up. Also, it looks like her left ankle wobbled, giving the illusion she moved her foot.

  • I think that is the first true stick on a 2 1/2 in major competition. Cheng Fei, Monica Rosu, and Jade Barbosa have come very close, but McKayla's feet didn't move an inch. Awesome vault!! Can't wait to see what the future holds for her.

  • Comment removed

  • @elizabethrice3 What is a true stick though? I mean one of her feet BARELY comes off the ground. Likewise Cheng Fei's "hop" in EF finals (hehe the first vault that is) was so minuscule as to be barely noticeable. I had to go to slow mo to make sure. So I count hers and Jade's especially as a stick.

  • Q absurdo....muito bom!!!

  • @faeryquene i hope she makes the team but she can only contribute on vault. she'll make the team if she does a triple successfully which shes training

  • If (crossing fingers!) McKayla makes Olympic team she could be our (the U.S.'s) Rosu! Even BETTER imo! :)

  • stuck dead

  • That was amazing!!! She had such good form too!

  • @muffuffty u are stupid...... a lot of people spellit McKayla and not michaela...it doesnt matter.... personally i think McKayla looks better

  • @aaligymnast095 What are you, five years old?

  • @muffuffty according to wolfram alpha, McKayla, the given female name, ranks 668th, as the name of 1 out of every 4651 people.

The name experienced a growth in popularity around the year 1993. Her parents are probably not "bogans". You, however, are probably quite out of touch with modern society.

  • @davidfrankl According to Wolfram Alpha... ur a d1ck! LOL

Is that modern enough for you?

  • @davidfrankl Betch g0t troll'd!! XD

  • Finally, a video of sufficient quality - WITH slow-motion - that verifies it. Well done Michaela. :-)

    (Srsly, McKayla?)

  • @muffuffty Why are you saying "srsly, McKayla?" Thats how you spell her name dumbass!

  • HOLY SHIT! a stuck 2 1/2!!!! wow!

  • omg hw can she does that

  • Holy shit.
