@MrSinaster The game itself is fun, but don't be surprised if it seems dated (came out in 2005!). There is no jump button, and you can't swim, those are the major differences.

This game is good, but it has some problems -- 8 buttons (should be 12 at least), zero open world, it's basically single player game with a chat, spells are very different but it's not a bad thing, movement glitches (GW2 won't have this problem from what I've heard), the maps are almost a strait path with a few round about ways, and (this is personal) its graphics are too much like Anime. No subscription fees is nice but I'd rather spend $15 a month to play a game that doesn't have problems.

@admielke Those really arent that big of problems, I didnt like the idea of how the world was either where you could only explore with 4-6people, but now it doesnt seem that bad, so people arent killing the same boss or doing the same quest, movement glitches..so what, yeah the maps are a little like paths but I dont really mind it, 8 buttons is plenty. All in all these arent that big of problems for me to play a completely different game.

@dragonbukid not true, no subs = more micro transactions and less content. The devs need to keep up expansions to keep gamers happy. Which in turn is more cash aswell. Either way u gotta pay. you get nothing for free. Tbh i think eve have it cracked the sub is pricey but u dont need to pay for future expansions. If people would only charge like 6-7 pound for a monthly fee it would be more considerate

@rednas3636 its totally worth it man i say u get the triology pack which is like 50 bucks for the original and 2 expansions that alone is enough to have u busy for a while its worth every penny, the gameplay has missions and quests, not a lot of repeatable ones but its still great, theres virtually no grind if u do the missions and pvp is a great thing aswell

@Zenith0106 well this game is not monthly. for guild wars u buy it once then u play for free. but world of warcraft is monthly. i perfer this game because there are 2 modes. pvp world and the other 1 is where u go threw the story and level up your character. in pvp mode you start off max lvl and get all skills and u can choose from wich you want to use. so its all pvp there. guild wars ftw!!

The music is no where near the same as WOW, Wow's soundtrack is done by various artists, Guild Wars's Sountrack has always been composed exclusively by Jeremy Soule. GW is more symphonic and has a ton more music than WOW.
