Actually, there's more than one million in Western Europe alone. For the whole world, the population of the Red Fox is probably around 4-5 million. It's extremely common and adaptable.

There's no such thing as a 'snow fox'. There's Arctic Foxes, which have white fur and live in the northern, snowy regions of the planet.

This one here has reddish fur, and is thus a Red Fox in the snow.

Too bad the Red Fox is too adaptable :\ It's pushing the Arctic fox further and further up into the mountains, here in Norway. :\ The Arctic fox-population has fallen quite a bit, which is kinda sad. :[

And btw, there are other names for the arctic fox. One being Snow Fox, the other being the White Fox. :]
